Mercer? Georgia Southern?Don't be shocked if he ends up back at a Georgia school or within driving distance of home.
Mercer? Georgia Southern?
Enlighten us.Enlighten us.
1) He didn't want to be here.
Make him stay?
2) The staff didn't want him here.
Make them keep him?
Did I miss anything?
Oh, I was thinking Fjällräven, but Jansport is a good product too.Just a nice bag. Maybe a Jansport.
BB King approves of this post! The Trill is gone….
Perhaps Louis Vuitton?Just a nice bag. Maybe a Jansport.
That’s probably because the basketball staff is so entirely inept they can’t figure out how to delete those guys, so they keep them up and hope nobody notices.Fleck's staff doesn't mess around with updating the roster. He's already removed. Cooper and Battle are still on the Basketball roster online.
Or maybe they hope that by keeping them on the webpage roster, they'll forget they wanted to transfer out and stay! That’s probably because the basketball staff is so entirely inept they can’t figure out how to delete those guys, so they keep them up and hope nobody notices.
No one said or implied any such thing. Writer made that up out of thin airI'm sure talking bad publicly about a player
Well of course, no one would or was questioning such a thing. My point is that obviously a guy on the team understands the context of what happened here better than us.
A. Trill would have played a significant role, sure.
about a guy who underproduced last season.
Don't be shocked if he ends up back at a Georgia school or within driving distance of home. I used to be a writer in the area of the two high schools that Trill attended and know the town he is from (Cordele). It is not a wealthy area by any means. I don't think his mother has ever been able to see him play a college game, so I'm sure that weighs on a young man.
But it also sounds like he has been talking about hitting the portal every year since 2020 and it finally happened.
Thanks for all this! Helps a lot to put all this perspective around it.Fleck has high standards for the program and the student-athletes in it. It's quite possible that Trill decided he was over meeting those standards. PJ's comments in the presser that we thought were just about Dylan Wright likely applied to this situation as well.
No, no, no, no. I really don't know why you made this up. This is nothing of the sort of what I was talking about."Sore loser"???
He is doing the classy and professional thing. You think he is going to throw a former player under the bus in a press conference and say "Yeah, so and so was ditching class too much" or "He got into a fight at practice"? There is zero to be gained - outside of for the curious fans like us - for Fleck to give explanations on why guys leave.
Tennessee McDonald's bagsOr someone offered him a bag.
Tough to lose a guy that had starts and plenty of experience but good luck to him. We have the depth to withstand this even if we gotta play some younger dudes.
I get it. Being sarcastic. It's almost never a good thing to talk about these things publicly. Sure fans want to know but it's best a coach doesn't talk about it.No one said or implied any such thing. Writer made that up out of thin air
But again, for crystal clarity, if a player does some bad stuff and gets kicked off the team for it …. I was never lamenting the coach for not airing the dirty laundry.I get it. Being sarcastic. Then what were you suggesting by the "sore loser" comment? But again, for crystal clarity, if a player does some bad stuff and gets kicked off the team for it …. I was never lamenting the coach for not airing the dirty laundry.
That was never the thing of it, all. It is correct to not air dirty laundry.
Moving on
See post #77Then what were you suggesting by the "sore loser" comment?
Well of course, no one would or was questioning such a thing.
But you're taking a very vauge, very noninformative "relax..." (literally all that was said) and extrapolating that to mean ... whatever you seem to want it to mean?
What would be a normal or standard amount of production for him? First team All-Big Ten?
Perhaps it did, though obviously 2020 was an odd year. Why not compare 21 to 22?If you can't see that his production went down from 2020 and 2021, maybe we aren't watching the same team?
Serious question because I have no idea, is it possible that Carter's numbers went down because he was facing more double teams than he had been in the past?If you can't see that his production went down from 2020 and 2021, maybe we aren't watching the same team?

You said significant role, but then were diminishing what he had done. Both can be true, sure, but some clarity would be good.
