I have no doubt that the people at the game saw something but as it stands right now this whole story just doesn't add up. It seems highly unlikely the players would be celebrating post game if a teammate had just had a serious medical episode that required him to be immobilized and transported to the hospital moments before. I mean the way this is being described, what happened on the sidelines was really bad for the person involved.

I am not surprised the U isn't addressing the issue but seems like there would be some questions asked about it. I don't know what happened but the details just don't add up.
 

Not that it adds much to the discussion, but I just re-watched the very end of the game. You can see the tent being collapsed in the background on the pre-snap to the Nubin game-clinching INT. After the play (Nubin INT), the camera pans to PJ and you see him talking to trainer and looking in that general direction. PJ also doesn't look super thrilled at this moment (despite just clinching the game).

Especially when the program is already fairly private, hence the depth charts, and the fact whatever it is/was they are likely consulting with a few different people and it has been less than 48 hours.

Not to nitpick but that isn’t what HIPPA protects at all. HIPPA is that medical personnel cannot release your info without your consent. JG or others can absolutely comment on his medical status.

Also, cor-effing-rect. Co-effing-rect means you’re misspelling correct which is kinda funny.

I didn’t say there aren’t privacy concerns but HIPPA doesn’t apply here unless we’re calling area hospitals asking for updates and they won’t disclose.

So you’d write it abs-fucking-lutely? Because no that isn’t right at all either.

Along those same lines of not adding much to the discussion aside from speculation... on the second down play at 2:43 remaining he's standing right behind the down marker, starts to stumble while being supported by a couple (what I assume are) trainers, and you can see one of them on a walkie talkie. They go to a commercial break, he's no longer there, then after the longer TV timeout the tent is up.

Unless potentially, it's a condition they already know he has and isn't supposed to be discussed public for a number of reasons.
 


I went back and looked at the end of the game because of this thread. On Potts first carry of the Gophers last drive, he gets up and kind of stretches his neck for lack of a better term. He's on the far sideline and seems to be a little off in his gate and/or balance as he jogs off the field as he's replaced for 2nd down. That's really the only thing I could see that stood out and even that I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't looking for something. He then he had a very tough run about 4 plays later to get us a first down on a 3rd and 3 that would have been seemingly impossible to do if he was compromised in any significant way.
 





I am praying for him. Let's hope that it is not a life changing injury. One of the Gophers' promising young LBs had to medically retire from playing football due to a cervical spine injury.

Maybe they were told not to?

It seems pretty obvious something happened at the end of the game to someone. Unless we all think a bunch of random people made up everything.

We live in a time when everybody has a pretty sophisticated camera phone in their pocket or on their person at all times.

It seems truly strange no one has posted anything, at least nothing that we've seen so far.
 






IG is down you guys. No gophers will be able to post anything positive or negative for the time being.

Sure. But the overwhelming number of things that a bunch of unrelated people say that they saw happen actually did happen.

It's possible that a bunch of unrelated people all decided to lie about the starting running back of their favorite team. It's also possible that it just so happened to line up with video footage of Trey Potts talking to trainers moments before a bunch of people went to a tent, then the tent was taken down. At the same time the trainers are talking to Fleck and moments later Trey Potts is no where to be found on the sidelines. All of these things are possible. Sure. Has it ever happened on the internet? I'm not sure if there has ever been a better orchestrated group of lies to ever hit the internet. But sure, it's possible.

As far as what's more likely? Well, I mean, c'mon.
