Daley would be a good get for a backup guard! She was averaging 11 points per game and shooting just under 50%, but isn't much of a 3 point shooter.

Now whether she's willing to play off the bench and get relatively fewer minutes at Minnesota than she might at other places is a whole other question.

Portal closes on Wednesday. If a team brings in a high profile player on Thursday which sort of upsets the apple cart (i.e. starting or playing time), doesn't it preclude other players from leaving? Of course, you run the risk of not geting the high profile player by waiting. Just wonder if that isn't part of the strategy for a coach with most of desired players on team?

IF healthy and IF the 2026 class lives up to the hype it’s Sweet 16 or bust… the roster has talent… teams 16-32 nationally seem comparable talent wise… I think they need a backup PG if not then a sniper wing off the bench the roster just needs a tweak… IF healthy time to prove the hype is real..

Just for shitz and giggles anyone have guesses on who the possible upcoming signing might be?

IF it's the name that's been thrown around and hinted at, it would be a big guard who didn't play this last season due to injury and will have one year of eligibility left.

It will be from the Big 12, and possible confirmation is that Coaches and at least 7 players have started following her on Instagram. She would fill the role of experienced guard who can hit the 3-ball.

Another player coming off an injury?
From what I have been able to find, her decision to red shirt was not injury related. There has been nothing I have found to indicate the reasoning behind her decision to red shirt.

Exciting! Looks like she'll bring a good deal to the team based on her stats from prior seasons.

Out of curiosity, is she the one you were hearing rumors about, or was that someone different? Looks like she's only 5-11 and hasn't taken a ton of threes, so just wondering if there's someone else floating around to watch out for.

KState fan forum says it was because she got recruited over and more players were going to pass her in minutes. She opted to redshirt to maintain a year of eligibility.

Thanks for the information. Yeah I probably shouldn't have speculated that. Looks like she was a top 100 recruit out of high school.

She also has a twin sister, Jaelyn, who was a regular for KState this year.

Here’s her K State bio. Looks like she mostly started the three seasons she played there and was on the 2022 Big 12 All-Freshman team. I’m not familiar with her game but seems a very solid pick up! Welcome to the Gophers, Brylee!

From what I've read her and the coach decided to red-shirt and maintain eligibility. Her twin sister played four years and is now done with eligibility.

Great amount of experience.. NOT a good three point shooter.. Can she handle the ball??

That might have been the one of the "parts of her game she wanted to work on". Not sure how often it happens, but I have seen instances of a player, spending a summer in the gym, working on their shot and literally raising their % by 10% or more. Maybe a combo of a technically better shot, or maybe a better job of focusing on taking better shots. At first glance, seems like a nice pick-up. Hopefully she's a really good defender and has an improved long-range shot.

Big 12 guy's hot take. She's an okay depth piece. As pointed out, not a great shooter. Was part of the Sundell/Glenn/Glenn guard trio until she sat out (recruited over?). Not as good as her sister and her sister was sort of average+.

I'll take her experience for sure. She has played in some big games. I mean she has to shoot better than Rose did, right? lol. She has had lots of time to be in the gym to work on her game.

I'm really interested to see what Makena Christian can bring her first year. Minutes may be tough to find, but it appears she can shoot the ball extremely well.

Any chance the Twin sister can come to Minnesota too? We have had Twin sisters on the roster before, and they were good contributors and Gophers.
