The Last Bite: What are the ingredients to being a good member of a team?

I think that every day, everybody brings something. So I think just being as consistent to whatever that is that you bring to the table. There’s enough external things that can happen. There’s enough outside emotion. There’s enough variables that can happen outside of your control, that if you can be more the most consistent person and the most consistent teams, those are the ones that like consistently have success.

And things might change throughout the year. I think if you just start with being positive and being somebody who brings a lot of energy, I think that that’s a good starting place to being a good teammate.
I do partnership dance (Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, etc.) mostly with the same partner. At times we are like poetry-in-motion (at least in my own mind), dancing to the same music, remembering our footwork… all is well. Other times it is like we are dancing to different songs, stepping on each other’s toes, and the ‘wheels’ come off. Consistency it what we strive for… if we are consistent, dancing together, even if off-the-beat, then it is easier for our teacher to correct our mistakes. Attitude is also important, not blaming the other, remaining positive and willing to be coached.

I believe the Gophers lack consistency, at times it is like they are listening to different songs. It starts with playing consistent, even if poorly, then they all can grow together. If the players bring positive energy and are willing to be coached… they will improve. I am confident that Coach P will continue to grow this team. They may never be great… but can play to the best of their individual & collective abilities.

I believe my post should be on a different thread, is there a way to move it?

I know Coach P is really busy right now but I think she had better find some time to make a phone call.

Ooof. Who would start…..Battle, Braun, GG, McKinney, Kneepkens….. I don’t know if there is enough playing time for all 5…. I want her, but who would the gophers lose in the portal….

It depends what Kneepkins is looking for but she'll have offers Minnesota cant match money wise.

Before we even get too far down the road. Forget the idea of Kneepkens. it's not happening. Being told looking for final four contenders only and has clicked DNC in portal.

Meister they have a call with this weekend but put her at about 5% or less chance of being here. Betting money says HEAVY favorite to go to SDSU.

Where do you get all this inside scoop? Its awesome!

I would LOVE to have either, but I really do not love the only one season. I haven’t minded it in the past (Stewart, rose) because the team was so young. With Heyer, Hart and Battle being seniors I would like transfers to have at least two years. Just MY opinion

SDSU is a Final Four contender???

I look at the portal not unlike me shopping for a car. What are my desires... are they inline with my needs? What is my budget? Do I want a truck or car, 2wd or awd... and so on. In the end, I will make an offer on a vehicle. Will the vehicle meet my needs? Hope so. Will it meet all of desires? Probably not. It's all about compromise.

I trust Coach P and her staff know what they want... they know their budget... will the player(s) that come here meet all the needs & desires? Probably not... certainly not all the desires of we the fans.

Good luck Coach P. and Go Gophers!

Talk at AAU practice today is the Kneepkens actually is looking at Minnesota to be closer to home. Not sure in any truth?!
Reading her tweet it read that she was looking for a new adventure. Most don’t come home for adventure, but I’m likely reading too much into it.

I was thinking more along the lines of San Diego State University. Made the NCAA's, beautiful climate, don't know many people who hate living there.
Assuming South Dakota state. They make tourney and win games so it’s probably a easy sell.
