The "Let's Pilage FIU of Their Recruits" Thread

I am a terrible evaluator of talent, but if any of their guys have some big ten talent then bring em on over. Preferably a point guard.

Well... McNeil had offers (according to Rivals) from Oklahoma, VCU, to name a couple and Sprewell had offers from James Madison and interest from Alabama, Georgia and VA Tech. Spre committed in June 2012, so there was not time for offers from the other schools (guessing).

I am guessing that either of those two would be a lot better than the typical Tubby spring recruit.

According to Rivals, neither McNeil nor Sprewell have signed LOIs. Interesting, if true.

I'd rather pillage them. :)

Well to all you snow birds still down there - you might not want to wear your Minnesota gear around Miami-Dade or Biscayne Bay.

Gotta be careful of who/what you use to obtain your information.

Sprewell isn't an FIU commit. He decommitted long ago. Wouldn't see him in Big Ten.

McNeil (who is solid) signed an NLI during the early period.

As stated in this article, Holton has some baggage, but he is a stud and if he stays on track would be a huge addition to the Gophers in 2013-14.

Holton is from Miami originally as is Buckles (don't know where Buckles at academically, but he's had a million injuries... I believe an assistant at FIU was his HS bball coach...).

If Sprewell decommitted, he likely is not going to want to come here as he already said not to Pitino.. who knows. I hope McNeil and the juco forward ask to be released.. they would both make nice additions to our team

rather pillage (not pilage) the Kentucky recruits than some low level D1 team

Okay, what is your source for the Sprewell and McNeil info?

Rather stay away from a kid that starts of his video with "nobody can cover me"!

No kidding - could have started with the r word along with pillage but that wouldn't be Minnesota Nice or PC.

I thought long and hard about that, but I figured I'd use something clean.

I think Dre is pretty confident, hopefully we see even more swagger out of him the next couple years
