Perhaps someday. I don’t think in top 5-6 thoughControversial take - Jack Trice.
Great idea!I'd go with 11 players (some sort of huddle) and two coaches (standing a bit apart from the players).
Players:
Nagurski
Smith
Giel
Bell
Eller
Widseth
Nomellini
Thompson
Winfield
Stephens
Ibrahim
Coaches:
Bierman
Warmath
Pat Richter and Barry Statues have been in place for years. Think about that.
I'm still waiting for my statue! The UMN should do more statues of successful students/alumni, period. The problem is they are bogged down on finding problems with people and not realizing that the person's good qualities may have been enhanced by attending UMN.
It's is disheartening and offputting that the student body and administration want to tear down people who attended UMN. Who would want to attend a school that will tell you upfront that they will treat you like trash once you get a degree from them?
Blu chew.I'm still waiting for my statue!
There's an entire Scholars Walk. Have you walked it and taken in all of the accomplishments our students and faculty??The UMN should do more statues of successful students/alumni, period. Good grief, really? When was the last time you walked the campus? The UMN should do more statues of successful students/alumni, period. The problem is they are bogged down on finding problems with people and not realizing that the person's good qualities may have been enhanced by attending UMN.

They haven't done Henry Fonda or Peter Graves yet, so it's going to be awhile.I'm still waiting for my statue!
No, because they don't promote it to alumni. This is the first I have heard of it.There's an entire Scholars Walk. Have you walked it and taken in all of the accomplishments our students and faculty??
Does Fraternity Row count?Good grief, really? When was the last time you walked the campus?
Next time to go to a game walk around campus. Some nice new stuff. No, because they don't promote it to alumni. This is the first I have heard of it.
Read the quote a replied to. It's exactly what we're talking about. That is right, and that is important and I'm very glad it exists.
That's not exactly what we're talking about here, though. We're talking about honoring Gopher football greats. And more specifically, I'm talking about why Minnesota does not honor our football greats in the same way that our rivals in Madison and in Iowa do.
Then I'm guessing you haven't walked around campus at all in 10 years. It literally stretches from the alumni center to Fraser/Appleby Hall areaNo, because they don't promote it to alumni. This is the first I have heard of it.
It's not out of your rear when, you have to be "of the Borg" to know about it and you are not "of the Borg".Read the quote a replied to. It's exactly what we're talking about.

Dude is talking about his rear. There's an awesome row of accomplishments by the students and faculty.
