Some of us aspire to higher than 9th place.
As do I. Where have I stated otherwise? Good thing that the Gophers didn't finish in 9th place.

9th place. Three years in a row under Tubby.
If it's petty and anal to care what the actual facts are, instead of the nonsense lies that you've made up - guilty as charged.

Give it up dpdoll68. Some have the opinion that we should be optimistic about the new staff and our prospects under it. Others have the opinion that Tubby would have been better for our future. Obviously that's you and that stinks for you, because he is currently nursing an ailing Texas Tech squad while Pitino is our coach. These are the facts.

Excellent summation. Another fact: I have resisted the strong urge to call him DopeyDoll, but not sure how much longer I can hold out. But if I did that (instead of just pondering it), that would be name-calling. So I won't do that.
9th place.
Your buddy Can'tGet has been calling me that (oh-so-clever) nickname for a while. Is that how far you've fallen, Jake? Is that the company you wish to keep? I guess so - he likes to make up "facts" just like you do.
I never called you that, DPO, so what's the problem? Just like you never said <<someone>> above wasn't bright. Tell me about all the facts I've made up, please. Wait, tell me how it is even possible to make up a fact. Now you aren't even making sense.
23-13 > 14-18
(This is not a math equation, DPO. It's a point.)

What color ribbon do we get for 9th these days?
Teal or fuchsia, I'm guessing. Look in Tubby's trophy case. He's got a bunch of 'em.

You know what is so sad about these people? Not even a single one of them asked how the heck Oto's career-ending injury was fixed so fast? Expect more lies MN fans. It is just the begining. Some of you may like it. It is becasue you are not old enough to know the situation during the Clem era.
I get the feeling that I'm going to check back in later and the thread will be... a). locked, or 2). be suddenly back to being two pages long.
It also has a big 'ole "9" on it and says PARTICIPATION at the bottom in bright curly letters.

Who are "these people"?
Also, I would love to get your take on Flight370. Did it fly into a blackhole or did the aliens take it?
Who said it was fixed?
These people: Richard-lovers???
Please define career-ending.

Junior forward Oto Osenieks, who only played less than a minute in the previous eight games, had a career high 32 minutes Tuesday night despite a degenerative knee injury that will require career-ending surgery after the season.
Pitino said Oseniks was sore after the game but is expected to play against SMU. The 6-8 Latvia native had four points, four rebounds, two assists and a block against Florida State, which was critical with starting power forward Joey King in foul trouble.
King fouled out with just three points in seven minutes.
"(Oseniks) was hobbling; certainly it was visible," Pitino said. "But Oto will fight through his pain. I think that was pretty evident by what he did last night. He knows he's done after Thursday, so he's going to get the most out of this experience."
He has a degenerative condition. He can play on it but it's not good for him and it probably is painful. He feels so forced out that he is taking a position on Pitino's staff next year. Sounds like there might be bad blood between the two of them.
Normally - career ending for a coach is defined as not cracking .500 in 6 years of conference play. Were you talking about players or coaches?
We Dick lovers will only love Dick as long as he can figure out within 6 years how to do the impossible: Finish over .500 in the Big Ten. Tall order, I know. Very tight time frame. We would never have had that type of expectation for Tubby.
