...from carrying the energy level in the Barn for the entire game.
This won't be received well, especially in light of the win, but the Barn should be embarrassed. Playing the number 8 team in the country, the rest of the arena was an absolute crypt. The team played their arses off the ENTIRE game, and they got a mere golf clap from everyone except the student section. Poor Donna Smith was over there waving her arms frantically trying to get everyone on their feet SEVERAL, SEVERAL times, to no avail. It took the first three rows emphatically motioning the section right behind the Purdue bench to actually get them on their feet with TEN SECONDS LEFT and the rest of the arena already standing.
The only standing O's they received were after Blake hit the wide-open three off the steal by Ralph, and for the last 40 seconds or so of the game. The place was absolutely DEAD other than that. Student can't do it all. Get on your feet once in awhile, put down the newspapers down, and give the team some energy for playing a great game all around, offensively and defensively.
