Statement from Athletics Director Mark Coyle regarding Tracy Claeys

Extending Claeys by 2 years and giving him a slight raise while maintaining a low buyout, which is what I expect will happen, is 100% the right move. And it's not even close.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the extension. I heard on the radio that this is the belief of many in the media as well. The understanding is that Coyle doesn't want to consider any new coaches until all construction of new practice and athletes village facilities are complete.

Zero. How well have Satan's coordinators fared as head coaches?

I'm not sure which way you're going with this post, but here are a few guys who have been coordinators for Saban:

Jimbo Fisher
Jim McElwain
Kirby Smart
Will Muschamp

Kirby Smart, Muschamp, and Derek Dooley all took SEC jobs and weren't or haven't been that successful. McElwain has been. Fisher has been, but wasn't exactly "mentored" by Saban.
Saban's coordinators have fared better than Bill Belicheck's, but haven't exactly set the world on fire.

Tell Ivan Maisel from ESPN:

Jimbo Fisher is a graduate and espouser of the Nick Saban Institute of The Process. Fisher coached for Saban for seven seasons at LSU. The tenets that Saban preaches in the meeting room at Alabama -- smart choices and personal development, focus and discipline -- are heard from the pulpit at Florida State, too.

It would be only natural to assume that Fisher would consult the Sabanic Verses on the subject of following a national championship season. Not only has Alabama done so in three of the past four years, but LSU, with Saban as head coach and Fisher as his offensive coordinator, did so a decade ago.

or other ESPN writers:

With notes from his mentors, Jimbo Fisher has made FSU his own

While Fisher idolized Bowden, whose son Terry cultivated Fisher as a coach and player, his adopted plan from mentor Nick Saban was to establish a remodeled Florida State rather than rebuild Bowden's work.

Or writers that cover Florida State:

Fisher counts Saban among his mentors, a list that also includes Bobby Bowden, the man he succeeded at Florida State, and Terry Bowden, Bobby’s son and Fisher’s first college coach.

“His structure and organization and focus and ability to see the future,” he said “Those are a lot of things I got from him. … how to think and how you look at things.”
