Maybe I've been away for too long, but since when did they have the girl's tourney after the boy's? Do they rotate every year now?
This is the first year it has happened that I know of, I think it had something to do with facility availability or something.Maybe I've been away for too long, but since when did they have the girl's tourney after the boy's? Do they rotate every year now?

Watched the last 2 minutes of regulation and both the OTs and this is a perfect example of why we need a shot clock. I'm not gonna blame Hopkins because if Shakopee is gonna sit back in a zone and let them and their is no shot clock then it is smart to do. The blame goes on the MSHSL and you gotta think this will cause them to take a hard look at the shot clock issue.Turn on 45 right now. Hopkins is just holding the ball for minutes on end because Shakopee refuses to come out of their zone. 2 points for each team in the last 12 minutes or so. No shot clock.

Why do we need a shot clock? Because teams aren't scoring enough or because you aren't entertained? How does a shot clock make high school basketball better?
Hopkins held the ball for 2 overtimes straight and took the last shot. They haven't scored a point for 15+ minutes but they're down by 3 with 2 minutes left in triple OT
So teams are forced to actually play basketball and run offense rather than hold the ball for 3 1/2 minutes because a team is sitting in a zone and they want the last shot. Also probably makes the adjustment to the college game a little easier if you have already been playing with a shot clock too.Why do we need a shot clock? College game is irrelevant, there are how many high school basketball players in the state of Minnesota? How many play college basketball? Mshsl does not exist to make sure that tiny percentage is better prepared for college basketball.
Basketball is a game of strategy, holding the ball is a winning strategy. Running offense and scoring a ton of points doesn't make the game better. It doesn't make it worse either, I just want to hear a rational argument about Minnesota getting a shot clock that will help the entire state get better at basketball. I don't care if a bunch of recently graduated or middle aged men aren't entertained, that's not important
Because it's definitely fair to the fans and players to have one shot every overtime...
Steal the ball and take a shot...
