I understand why they feel the way they do.
Completely ...
I understand why they feel the way they do.
And they say millennials are selfish, lazy, etc.
By the way, what should parents tell their kids about what the players are standing up for? Health care, compensation, equal treatment, consequence-free gangbangs?
Or better yet - go gang bang the first drunken girl you can find. I am sure you have plenty of buddies who would help you do it.

I really don't think seniors that were not involved would be boycotting team activity's or bowl preperation if they really thought they were supporting criminals.Passing up your final game ever for this, would be very telling.

Sounds like the girl's story doesn't have any merit since the police declined to do anything...
How would you feel if 10 of your buddies got punished for something even the police wouldn't touch?![]()
Any player who participates in this boycott should be kicked off the team and his scholarship should be taken away. If we don't play in the bowl game - so be it.

Whatever point you are trying to make goes more and more out the window with each of your posts.Wrong. I am sure most of the players on the team are like most of posters in GopherHole who think gang banging drunken coeds is a lot fun and why are the Puritans in Minnesota making such a fuss about it.
Police investigated the case as a crime and the U investigated it as a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Big difference between the two with a lesser standard of proof for the U.
Imagine if players around the country were consistently suspended or kicked off the team for violating the 'Student Code of Conduct'? Better yet, what if universities just kicked out anyone who violates the 'code of conduct'? Not only would football not exist, the majority of universities would no longer exist.

The U needs to become the world's largest all female institution. This horrible news for our program and university. If you are more interested in waging a war on political correctness or the EEOC then maybe this makes you happy. The whole sad situation is a mess. I can't see how anything good can come of the boycott. If you think this is going to benefit the football team in anyway I question your judgement. This will not lead the revolution; it will only hurt our program.

I can't believe some of you think that the U administration is going to negotiate with the players on this. That seems highly unlikely, virtually impossible. That is not the way an organization like the U works. This is in issue of institutional control. I know many of you think of the U primarily in terms of athletics, but that is only a small part of the organization. The administration will look at this as a challenge to there control, and will not be impressed.
