So, if you were a coach of any athletic team, pewee's thru college, you'd jump up-and-down, yell at the referees, players and other coaches and your spouse, kids, parents, et all. would think "I'm good" with that display.

The game is high stakes for the coaches, I think getting fired up within reason is fine.
I have no clue who the hell you're watching, but PJ does very little of this. He does no more or less ref chirping than any other coach. Yells at his players? No, he doesn't. I can't help but think some deep seeded dislike for him has seriously clouded your perception of him. I'd tell you to reevaluate but you seem past that long ago.
