We are talking past each other. If the NFL had a strike and had "scabs"/ replacement players so many would jump at the chance to say they played in the NFL. I use this scenario because right now there is little to no incentive for many veteran All-Stars to play. The NFL needs to up the offers to get the established All-pro players to play. Otherwise the "scabs" will play and be thankful for the opportunity.
Getting to the source of the problem, the league is such now that they have to play rookie/ 2nd year players. Will Shedeur be a bust? Maybe?
IMHO the problem is throwing QB's, not just him, to the wolves from day one. Most all QB's need one to three years to understand and play in the NFL at a high level. The problem is now many won't get it. It's the nature of the game. Next man up! and when that opportunity arises you have to be ready. Was Shedeur ready? No, but he showed some potential.
