Shama: Keeping QB Drake Lindsey in 2026: Job 1 for Fleck, Gophers

Please, please, please point to some reliable data. I don't care who talks about it unless someone is actually on the know. There just seems to be this assumption that we somehow have less than the majority of the BIG schools? Really?
I'll put it to you like this. Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Indiana, there is no chance in hell we are anywhere near those schools in NIL. So of the rest of the league who do you think we are ahead of and who do you think we should be ahead of and why?

Dont bother arguing with that clown. All he cares about is whining. Us owning Wisconsin makes him worse because they used to be his primary method of denigrating the team. (We can never be/beat Wisconsin!!)

Unless you want to know about Michigan Hockey Recruiting bonin is a waste of bandwidth.
Nico was getting 2 mill, he wanted 4 million or his dad wanted $4 million, thought if they waited until the end of spring, panic would set in and Tennessee would pay up.Tennessee called the bluff

Thank you! This is good stuff, and a very good database. I am going to start pulling stuff from MYASS too. But I have found conflicting reports. The data I pulled from MYASS says we are in the top third. Can't find a way to link it though...
I generally find that folks pulling data from their MYASS data base are likely full of Situationally Hilarious Internet Takes.

Could be worse, could be some troll who joined the AF because their Asshat score was too low for the MC and is too big of a bitch to have a legitimate discussion about anything

I agree with the ones you list (not sure about Indiana) but I see no concrete evidence that we are behind any of the remaining schools. Are we really behind Iowa? Maryland? Rutgers? Illinois? Michigan State? Purdue? What makes anyone think that UCLA, Northwestern, Nebraska, or Wisconsin are ahead of us? Granted, any guess from me would be speculating too, but that's all it is... speculation.

I personally think we are ahead of Rutgers and NW and Purdue and UCLA, at least in Football, maybe Maryland, but they have Under Armor money and they have a strong basketball fund and always have good skill guys. Although I know NW has the Ryan family as their ATM but they also have other issues that hold them back. Sparty gave Mel Tucker $90 million dollars before that blew up in their face. They also don't seem to have an issue paying Smith a $33 million dollar buyout. Washington basketball had a 2 million dollar player last year and with their recent football success, I am guessing they are not hurting there either. I would say Wisconsin is ahead of us but the gap isn't substantial unless you believe that Fickell will get an additional 28 million from boosters in 2026, will see how true that is by their portal additions. I would say Nebraska, even with an uncle on staff you don't flip a five star QB from Georgia without some serious coin and Emmett Johnson went in the portal threatened to come here to get more NIL money and that was done in a day. I couldn't tell you about Illinois but they seem to have a healthy basketball fund so I imagine they are not hurting in football, Iowa same thing but in their case if you can have an additional $3 million in assistant coach money than we do, than you probably have additional NIL funds on us as well. UCLA, they are clearly not hurting in hoops, football seems to be lacking and I think that's ultimately why Fleck didn't jump. I would say common sense would put us ahead their as well.
Again outside the P2, we are sitting pretty well, unfortunately that's not our competition though. DTA does a really good job, it's about as good of a grassroots, boots on the ground type funding you can ask for with some smart and more importantly emotionally intelligent people running it and they work really well with the athletic department. Where we are lacking outside of an obvious whale is even for or five medium fish that could help and we just don't have those guys or enough of those guys to really take that next step. If I ever become why I will gladly throw hundreds of millions dollars away for only an emotional ROI but alas I am only a JAG!
