Well he wasn't going to play in a championship here that much is for certain. What he will get at Southern Cal, regardless of theoretical sanctions which are probably overblown, is a solid base of talent around him, an exceptional coaching staff and consistent development. He'll also get plenty of exposure to help improve his draft stock.Nothing new to add except to say that I firmly believe SH made a serious mistake. There is no doubt in my mind that Carroll bolted because of impending doom for the USC program from the NCAA. SH will spend most of his career not being able to play in a bowl much less for a championship. My heart bleeds for him.
Even if the worst comes to pass with USC it's not going to hurt his development or his progression as an NFL prospect which is almost certainly his primary concern.
