Seantrel to USC

SH would be smart to not sign anything binding right now. Brew should save a scholly for him. After the USC penalties come down, SH can sign up with MN.

Did SH sign a binding agreement?

Apparently Ohio State was his number 2 pick anyhow?

Except that OSU was his #2 and I'm pretty sure they'll have a scholarship available if he wants one.

Why would he even come within ten feet of Lane Kiffin? The guy is toxic as they come.

He said tOSU was second so Minnesota would be outta the picture if the whole USC thing fell through...anyways! How about Minnesota's own Lamonte Edwards and Jimmy Gjere? ;)

It's pretty immature the comments in this thread ripping the kid. It's too bad for gopher fans that he wanted to get away for school. Not everyone wants to stay at home in their comfort zone, some people like to try something different.

Good luck to the kid.

He also said he decided last night.

Puke. USC is getting to get hammered by the NCAA. What a stupid decision.

Yep! I hope they don't mind dealing with the "allegations." I'll laugh my ass off if they get put on probation in the near future. Can't believe daddy bought Kiffin's line of BS. No, wait, I can. Sad.

If the Tweet about Kiffin calling is true, you can bet that tOSU and Miami will have calls into the NCAA compliance officer immediately.

No kidding, I would hope so. He already has a history of infractions. It's always disappointing to see slimeballs like Kiffin and Calipari win over recruits.

SoCal is nice, but this seems like a risky choice IMO. Hopefully for SH, Lane can wiggle out of sanctions before SH goes pro. For me though, I wouldn't mind seeing the NCAA cripple the program. (zero percent chance)

Also, no one wants to know who was your second choice.

I think had he chosen OSU we would have understood. He went to play for a cheater. He wants to play for a cheating program. All I can say is hope the hammer doesn't hit him too hard on the head, because it is my opnion that it will sooner rather then later....and I'd hate to be in the splatter zone...

I would've rather had him eliminate us awhile ago to save the anticipation and give me a day back in my life to do something productive with...would've been much easier on me.

Good luck Seantrel

Seantrel is a good kid and I wish him the best of luck at USC. I hope he represents his home state well, except when he plays Minnesota, when I hope Ra'Shede runs right over the top of him on his way to taking Matt Barkley's head off.

I'm no fan of Brewster but I think that he did everything that he possibly could do to get a commitment.

My only complaint is that SH's lack of desire to come to the U didn't dissuade him from accepting excellent seats from time to time at the Barn.

I'm eagerly awaiting Sean "Big Money" Henderson's debut album featuring Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Dr. Dre, and a Tupac mash-up.

Kid obviously has no hometown pride so he will fit in well with the prideless Kiffin.. good riddens Seantrel

I can't believe how surprised we are...

I think most of us expected him to not come here. Its just too bad that he went to USC because of the dirt factor. Someone already said it, but I think the reaction would be different if it was OSU.

USC was the last school I wanted SH to go to. When Monte retires there won't be anyone to keep Lane in check. I'm probably wrong, but I see a decline for USC while Kiffin is there.

Remember the Ed Orgeron was the coach at Ole Miss who recruited Mike Oher (the Blind Side). So, I am sure that they were all over SH saying that they were going to make him a pro.

I can't believe how surprised we are...

With the basketball program having lots of problems right now, the vikings losing a fluke game, the number of decommits from the football program, it just seemed like something would happen for us.

With Carroll leaving, it is just shocking that he still chose USC. I think that is what is most suprising to me.

Even though in conference, I would have preferred he go to the Bucks. Either way, he would play at TCF Bank next season.

This. I won't say he is a good kid, because I don't know him. I will say that it's painfully obvious that SH wasn't the one being recruited.

And on second thought, I doubt the NCAA does anything to USC. They jump on kids like Dez Bryant immediately, but when the story about Reggie Bush broke they opened an investigation that never did diddly squat. OJ Mayo was getting paid. Bush was getting paid. Jarrett was living in a sweet condo for free because of Leinart's daddy. And these are just the confirmed stories we know about. Kiffin will undoubtedly continue and even amplify the shadiness at USC. I guess it'll just depend on wether or not the NCAA has the balls to do anything about it. College football is big business and USC is one of the NCAA's top earners.

I used to respect USC, then that respect began to erode. Now with Kiffin there, it's completely gone. And what a group of sorry fans. They are like the worst Texas fans with a supercharged primadonna ego to boot. Sickening.

Has USC found an O-Line coach yet? I know they wanted our own Tim Davis, but I hadn't heard if they hired anyone yet?

First off, F! Two takes: 1) Seantrel told a story about how he had not spoken to certain NFL players specifically (I believe it was AP and Harvin, but I could be wrong), but, the point is, he had read about what they had to say "in a paper in MN" (let's presume it is the Strib). My point is the media's vendetta against the U really hurts, especially for in-state kids - F off KFAN; and 2; I held out judgement until the announcement, but Sean is out for the money and wants to capitalize as soon as possible. I think Seantrel was steered toward SoCal accordingly.

Done. Close the chapter. Let's go Gjere and the rest of the class. The U over USC at TCF.

I can't believe how shocked/mad/disappointed some of you guys are about this. I guess I learned my lesson after the Michael Floyd saga. It would have been a true miracle if Seantrel actually picked us.

It's sad when you have to cheat even in one of the richest football states in America to land some top recruits like that....
