Royce White to visit Iowa State on Weds.

From what I've read, since he didn't play for the Gophers, he's free to play the entire season this year.

Can you link to the place where you read that? Because Royce White will almost assuredly not be playing at all this coming season.

Per the NCAA eligibility book, if you transfer from one D-1 school to another, you have to sit out one entire year while enrolled at the new institution unless you receive a hardship waiver. Seems unlikely that he will be granted that based on his situation.

Plus he is ineligible to play or receive a scholarship because of his academics the second semester at Minnesota. He enrolled but did not complete his classes.

He doesn't if it's for financial aid? It doesn't look to be a basketball scholarship right now, at least to start?

Financial Aid Agreements are just LOIs with fewer strings. It is a basketball scholarship, and he won't get it because he is ineligible.
