Recruiting

There are two incoming freshmen - Makena Christian and Zoey Bershers. If everyone is back, I think that is 13 on the roster.

Really going to roll it back next year if players stay. Just the one incoming freshman coming in in Christian the 5'11" Guard.

I assume Rose, Stewart and Czinano all are done, so we should be able to bring in 2-3 transfers.
Jordan Brooks too.

With Hart getting another year. Believe would be Rose, Czinano, Stewart, and Brooks that be done will eligibility and 2 incoming recruits. Unless others transfer or the above mentioned out have a way to stay another year. It would seem to be looking for 2 additional transfers. I was thinking that Destiny Adams from Rutgers would be a good grad transfer in! Middle Tennessee has a C , Anastasiia Boldyreva, that could be a grad transfer as well?

13/15 Filled for next year (barring transfers) and they are done with the 2025 class per the coaches.
Exciting. If Coach P can bring in two highly impactful transfers this team "could" be dangerous and would think would start the year ranked. Lots depends on a healthy Mara and Woodson. Excited for the future of the program. Go Gophs! (guessing we will also see a ramped up preseason)

Really surprised Regan Juenemann hasn't found an offer to commit to yet? Seems athletic, long range shooter, hard worker. I know class A and maybe size?

I have seen her play a few times. She started playing basketball pretty late so always seemed to be playing catch-up with others in her class. She didn't really play on AAU teams that played high-level competition with good coaches until she played for the Stars this past summer and I think the level of competition on the 3SSB circuit was eye opening for her. She needs time to work on her understanding of the game, her defense, and especially her ball handling. She is athletic and a great 3 point shooter but a big contributor to the numbers of points she's scored in high school is because she has always played with great point guards (first Chloe Johnson at Duluth Marshall and now Tori Oehrlein at CI) who can bring the ball up the court and find her when she's open. Hopefully she'll find a great coach at a program that she can be successful at, but I don't think that is the D1 level.

I hope you're not the same person that told me 5 years ago that Gianna Kneepkens was not a D1 player and could only hope to get a D2 scholarship. Kneekpkens made All America this year and will be drafted if she declares. Hmmm??

LOL, no. I'm sure Regan is a great kid but no Gianna Kneepkens. And there is nothing wrong with playing at the D2 level, especially if a kid can develop and feel valued at that level.
