Yes. Shannon is building up a solid mid-range bowl team that can consistently finish seasons on the fringes of the top-25.....WITH TOP-TEN/BCS TALENT. The more I have to talk about Shannon, the more I'd rather have Trestman.

So... now we're too good for Randy Shannon? A guy who was known for being a great defensive coordinator and is rebuilding Miami by recruiting well. Coker had them a .500 team his last season.

Yes, you got it. We are now too good for Randy Shannon. Miami, also, is FAR too good for Randy Shannon, and he is rebuilding them into a WORSE team than they were under Coker, if less thug-like (please do a little research). Thank you for figuring it out.

Their are better & more proven candidates out there...their defense isn't looking too impressive against a mediocre Virginia Offense today at all...

He keeps doing it because he thinks he is getting under the skin of people like you. Just like when he overdoes the LOL thing.

When you read his posts, don't think "dot dot dot" just think "lack of creativity".
 

It doesn't get under my skin I'm just curious why people do it. It's a bizarre way to punctuate your speech. I'm not reading the Gopher Hole with an APA style guide open or anything but he ends every sentence in an aposiopesis.

I guess when you are unable to foment a cogent argument, you need to finish you sentence with an aposiopesis so the reader can fill in the voids in the statement.

Larry Coker's record at Miami: 60-15, one national championship
Randy Shannon's record at Miami: 21-17, one season ranked, zero bowl wins.(And with his recruiting classes, including Coker's last class, they should have the team in the top ten consistently...there isn't a single team in the ACC that should be able to compete with Miami player-for-player.)

Yeah, this is exactly the guy we need. All that Florida Talent & Speed & they're getting manhandled by a mediocre Offense yet Shannon's Defense is so highly praised based off what?

Miami's classes have generally been ranked higher (based on the one site I'm looking at), especially the classes that should be contributing now, but FSU is right there with them for the most part.

Anybody see the end of the Miami-Virginia game?? Miami pulled within 5 with 4.5 mins left. Got Virginia into a 3rd and 4 and a 3rd and 9 with a chance to get ball back. Both plays they dropped into a zone and virginia converted both with a simple pass in the whole of the zone. Please don't get this guy. Too mason like with those zone calls on d.
 

Oh yes that crazy zone defense who runs that.

I think losing Jacori Harris in the 2nd quarter might have had something to do with the loss on the road too.

I just looked at the PBP for that game.

Virgina's first TD came off of a Harris pick at the Miami 26.
Their second TD came off another Miami pick also returned into Miami territory.
Their third TD came off another pick that was intercepted and returned to the Miami 5.

Even their FG came on a short field after Miami's kicker kicked the kickoff out of bounds.

Way to be dishonest Eagle.

You also didn't answer my question above. What kind of defense is that.
