Pros and Cons with the new playoff system

I like the idea of hosting the first round at some home fields, but if future results continue like it did this year then I have to wonder what the point is.

One obvious problem is Boise & ASU being 3 & 4. This pushed the actual 3 & 4 teams down to 5 & 6, and hosting home game in the first rounds, and two more blowouts ensued.

I'd like CFB to fix this.

Overall though I'm thrilled with the new format.

I think they will fix that by expanding to 14, with only the Top 2 getting Byes.

Blowouts are going to happen, as well some big upsets. That's the nature of college post season tournaments. Go to 16 with no byes. I'd even be open to having the first two rounds on home fields if it could be done.
