Predicting the 12/3 AP Top 25 poll...

People taking their jobs seriously (most of them) and doing the research to know who desrves to be where. Coache's probably put much less thought into it since their job is to coach.

Don't a lot (most?) of coaches have their SID's do the rankings because they don't care or don't have enough time to look at carefully? I could be wrong on this but I have heard that.

We may not move up as much as many of you think. Last night Florida State lost 61-56 at home to a 3-4 Mercer team. That makes the victory over FSU seem less significant.

Impossible. Snaer cannot be guarded.

Not sure, you might be right.

Geez. They sure are taking their sweet time today. The coaches poll was up 20 minutes before noon last week.

Regarding comparisons to our game at FSU with Mercer's win at FSU. Our win was a totally dominant win. Mercer game was that FSU lost and there is a difference.

That's more like it! Still, being behind Illinois is nothing short of an insult. They'll get squashed by Gonzaga on Saturday and that'll be the end of that story.

Minnesota will likely jump them assuming they get thumped by Gonzaga this week and the Gophers take care of business, not too worried about it right now.

This is our highest AP ranking since December 27th, 2010.

Next target to beat: Being ranked #11 on January 7th, 1997.

Watching Illinois plummet will be fascinating. They make only 48.9% of their two point shots, 122nd in the country. Relying on 43% of your scoring from behind the three point line is not sustainable. The next ranked team on the list of 3 pt reliance is Arizona at #40, and they score only 34.5% of their points from three pointers.

Still, how did they move up 9 spots? I don't get it. Good for the conference I guess.

The Big 10 now has 6 teams in the Top 20.

Put me in the "I can't believe Illinois is ranked this high!" boat. They have narrow wins over Hawaii and Gardner-Webb. They crushed USC and beat Butler handily and have a win over Ga Tech. Nothing overly impressive.

They essentially moved up 9 spots for a home win against georgia tech. Lol

i hope the gophers continue to get disrespected! it might give the team extra motivation to prove everyone wrong, i hope anyways
