Post Game Thread: Gophers Lose Disappointing Game at Rutgers

Saw it coming a mile away. Souhan patting Fleck on the head coupled with Gopher fans crapping all over AK about how much better Brosmer is predetermined this lousy outcome.

PJs teams are bipolar or have multiple personality disorder

Defense was bad in the first half made Athan look like a superstar. Played much much better in the second half but the facemask by Joyner when we had the stop on 3rd down was a back-breaker.

Offensive line was awful all game....just brutal.
Brosmer didn't have a great day and missed some throws he is capable of making
Turnover by Geers was a killer.

Felt we would win this game comfortably if we played well but we didn't do that today. Margin for error is always going to be slim and you can't make that many killer mistakes on the road and expect to win.

Very disappointing game heading into the second bye week. Get rested and healthy, flush this one and then go out and try to upset Penn State. Going into this 3 game stretch I thought we needed to go at least 2-1....got that done just not in the way I expected.

Game was set up for a let down.

Not really surprised by the result.
I think that’s dumb as shit. You have two coaches that left us one twice who are the coordinators and the quarterback who we should want to pound into the ground. We should’ve come out with fire blowing out of our ass and we sucked from start to finish.

Well once again Gophers just when you think that they are going to take that next step this is what they do they lay an egg. It starts with the former quarterback Ethan making him look like a All-American in the first half finally second half getting after him and the problem now is your offense isn't doing anything your offensive line is horrible and it's only going to take one play and it changed the whole momentum..Bam..Fumble.. face mask.. safety... team is just not good enough to sustain bad plays when they play close to the best they can win but they're not good enough to win when they make mistakes that are huge
.4th quarter -24 yards...says it all.

A 5-4 team just beat a 6-4 team.

Not exactly surprising. The 4 game win streak was nice, but didn't mean much

PJ deserved a lot of blame for the UNC loss, but it's hard for me to put today's loss on the coaches. Who played well today? No one.

As good as AK played in the first half, he did nothing in the second half. Rutgers didn't win this game, the Gophers lost it.

We are no better than Rutgers, though.

Rutgers players made some outstanding key plays, Gopher players didn’t. The XP miss was foreshadowing.

Taylor looks hurt/slow. He can catch, which is a good reason to keep trotting him out there.

Brosmer had an off day but he was under immediate pressure.

There is a ton of parity in CFB, BIG TEN this year. You just never know.
