MLB Legend Pete Rose Dead At 83
Pete Rose has died at the age of 83, TMZ Sports has learned.

God I hope not. He'll likely get into the HOF now.
Win Twins!!
and no,and yes, Rose got the 1st hit ever at the Dome in the 1st exhibition game
and no,
There were college and HS games at the dome before any exhibition game. The first HR ever hit at the dome was a HS kid from Southwest.
Should be alreadyHe'll likely get into the HOF now.
Win Twins!!
But an exhibition game so it doesn’t really count.OK - 1st hit in a Major League game at the Dome.
Should be already
Just watched his documentary a couple months ago. He mentioned it would be a shame if he was inducted when he was no longer with usOf course he should be.
I bet you did....I had a few hits in the Rally Room.
I was there to see that.OK - 1st hit in a Major League game at the Dome.
As was II was there to see that.
Never. He'll likely get into the HOF now.
Win Twins!!
I agree, it would be a shame if he were inducted, at any point.Just watched his documentary a couple months ago. He mentioned it would be a shame if he was inducted when he was no longer with us
It hasn't worked for Shoeless Joe Jackson. He'll likely get into the HOF now.
Win Twins!!
We shall agree to disagreeI agree, it would be a shame if he were inducted, at any point.
One of his more memorable games as an outfielder was game 3 of the 1973 NLCS. After brawling with Bud Harrelson, a favorite of Mets fans, he went out to LF and had so much stuff thrown at him that there was a possibility of the game being forfeited. Unlike Twins fans, who just threw hot dogs at Knoblauch, the debris thrown at Rose by New Yorkers included booze bottles.I tend to remember Rose as an infielder, but checking the stats, he played 1,327 games as an outfielder in his career, split between RF and LF. also played 939 gms at 1B, 634 at 3B, 628 at 2B.
As for this Rose's enshrinement to Cooperstown, I would vote, No.The Hit King. One of the best titles/nicknames ever bestowed.
Did he give it to himself? Pete was never shy about his exploits.
