What is with these guys purposely dropping the ball so close to the goal line. Just a stupid play by Iowa if the td is overturned.
 

Dude for Iowa got lucky. He dropped the ball before the end zone but no one recovered it. Iowa gets the ball at the one and scores a few plays later.

I think it is ridiculous that the fumbling team gets the ball at the one in those situations. If you're stupid enough to drop the ball before you cross the end zone, then it should be a touchback.
 



Georgia tight end should be made too duck walk back to Athens. Dropped two passes my grandmother would've caught.
 



Our Nebraska victory looks a little sweeter now than it did toward the end of the season.
 

Holy jefe is Iowa getting raped violently by the officials. That or they're incompetent. It's like watching an nfl game. Just terrible.
 

Uh, that was blatant pi on lsu. I know we hate Iowa but there has to be some integrity in the game.

Yeah, that was horrible. For those that didn't see it, Iowa ran a quick QB sneak on 3rd and short. They got the first but the refs blew it dead because they were supposed to allow LSU to substitute on defense. Of course that is not the case since Iowa did not sub themselves. The whole Iowa sideline was going crazy. It was an awful call.
 






The commentators will generally always take an ambiguous position, especially those that want to call nfl games in the future. Especially on close calls that could go either way. Some are worse about this than others.

You win this round. I sure hope ESPN will let Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico call an NFL game sometime due to their ambiguous take. Jesus Christ.
 



Wonder if Borland will track down a whiteboard and write "0-4 in Bowl Games!" on it?
 

Do you remember the uproar last year when the scab refs were actually calling penalties by the book? It was hilarious how upset the coaches and commentators became (amongst some legit griping on spots, etc).

Some of the replacements did an interview with GQ or Esquire and stated that the nfl stepped in and explicitly said they want games called a certain way, rule book be damned. They would even have "coaching" sessions about it. Eg, not calling holding etc to protect qbs and encourage a passing game.
 



LSU had their QB take the snap and then just stand there with the ball to run out the clock several plays in a row, then their fans get offended when Iowa has the audacity to actually tackle him.

Yeah...I saw that. I hate LSU and LSU fans. I'm just glad the WI and IA games are over now, one way or the other, so I can cheer for what's left of the Big Ten without reservation. I didn't cross that uncomfortable line with WI, but I was kind of pulling for IA at the end. Yuck.
 

WOW!! The national anthem just got butchered at the rose bowl. Sad! Why do some people insist on trying to be bigger than the song??

MSU is the Big Ten's last hope at preventing this day from being another New Year's day massacre of the Big Ten. So far it does not look good. MSU has to start passing the ball, Stanford's run defense is very good.
