So the way the rule is written you can just keep subbing until it's a delay of game for the other team? What am I missing?

Does Beamer do something unique with his subbing or is this just Bert being Bert?

This is classic Bert... a little less subtle than usual....

It feels oddly dirty and refreshing at the same time to be pulling for Beilama’s BS today.

Can’t stand him, but would love to see Illinois win this one. Solid Gopher win over Illinois this year.
I have mixed opinions from what I've seeing with Bert today to pull for him to win.

Well, all I can say at this point is that Illinois is a good fit for the SEC with that coach.

on the other hand, 10 is vastly more than enough.
Perhaps.
It depends on if the intent of the rule is to allow you to reactively sub.

To run from opposite hash to sideline coaches box is like 50 yards.
Guys running on and off combined it 10 seconds is close

15 is definitely enough but I don’t think you should hire another ref to monitor that.

Simple solution is the offense shouldn’t sub late and if they want to go fast shouldn’t sub.
I haven’t seen a coach all year with this type of problem USC is having

1-2 times in a game is common. Their whole strategy is bamboozled

And a note on the WA loss to Louisville. I normally like the decision to go for two to win or go home at the tail end of a game. But… not when you are the team with all the momentum. WA dominated and scored not one but two TD’s late. Good enough to tie it but then our guy Jedd Fisch went for two and that was that.

You think it’s possible to sub in 5 seconds and I Have bad takes. Got it
You: "Not really sure there is a solution other than tell defenses they aren’t allowed to sub."

Other guy: "Sure there is."

You: "You just agreed with me. There's no solution."

Heh.

you know you're being subbed. it isn't some mystery when you see a certain guy start running on the field. These are D 1 athletes and can certainly jog 50 yards in 10 seconds. it shouldn't be the leisurely stroll jog guys are doing now. up to them if they want to run the risk on a penalty. Very simple for the head ref to call 10 second hold and release the judge when he sees the last sub come on (or off, whichever they use for the trigger).

this happens in every single game but is going to be more aggravated at this time of the year with guys aren't used to playing, being in new packages (and SCar has a new OC vs who they've had all season). Illinois has done this all year
