Other Bowl Games Thread

KSU goes for it on 4th and 3 from around their own 30 with more than 10 minutes remaining. Convert for a huge gain. Ballsy.

Just started watching and Cephus for k state just slipped and took out a big patch of grass.

Yeah, this field is shitty. Still better than when they got it wet before our game....but not much better.

Don’t see why they can’t just play this game in Glendale. The Pinstripe Bowl I get with it being in a historic venue and all, but Chase Field? Really?

The current Yankee Stadium opened in 2009. Not that historic in its current version.

I thought Chase Field switched to artificial turf a while ago? Why is the game even played on grass in the first place?

A change they need to make to OT rules is to allow only 1 timeout for the entire OT.

This was evident during the GA/GA Tech game. Kirby kept taking a timeout on defense every OT period. Doesn't make sense when you're it's just one play back n forth. Taking 8 TOs in OT doesn't make sense. Takes waaaay too long.
After watching the entirety of that UGA GT game I will endorse any petition to get rid of that rule. A timeout after EVERY 1-2 plays is NOT a way to shorten OT.

From that game, they also need to get rid of the rule that they switch end zones after EVERY 2 plays. Hiw much time did that add?!

KSU takes the 3 point lead with less than 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter... I'm guessing they'll decide to make AK beat them and sell out on the run

??

TF are you watching? Field is just fine.
They took a whole segment out to show the layer of turf being laid down temporarily over the baseball turf, and showed turf flying. And that was long before Kaliakmanis nearly blew his crotch out.

So maybe direct your questions at ESPN.

Still historic enough in name that they get to call it the “Rose Bowl of the East”

Kaliakmanis nearly blew his crotch out because someone grabbed his back leg as he was stepping into a pass

AK throws a 3 yard crosser against zone coverage on 4th and 6. Nice

Schiano going after the snap in victory formation, he did that in the pros as well didn't he? Thought I remember that ruffling some feathers

Was just thinking the exact same thing.

Kaliakmanis is soooooooo bad. It was so “Minnesota” for him to step it up against the Gophers

As I recall in that game, he was surprisingly good in the first half but not so great in the second. A bigger problem in that game was that, like a number of games this season, we just couldn't get the running game going. Geers also had a critical fumble close to our goal line.

No offer. K-state was by far his best offer. Was rated as 11-13th best recruit in Minnesota his year depending on the recruiting service you look at. Mostly had Dakota school offers.

Bummer, but there will always be underrated players like that who are missed. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll decide to transfer back home before his career is over.

Bowling Green punter 3rd string QB throws a nice deep ball.

Sneaky bastards!

He sucks. The fact that he is PJ’s biggest mentor sucks, too. The game this year against those nards was really hard to deal with.

Holy shit.....that Bowling Green luck.....

With the CFP Fiesta Bowl there on Tuesday? Not likely.

You gotta feel bad for some of these smaller schools who have good years to get to bowl games only to have their best players enter the portal. Coastal Carolina QB made his first start today after their QB bolted.....they had no chance.
It must be weird to play a bowl game in your home stadium. You would think a big part of the experience would be to go somewhere different.

Jah Joyner roughing the passer penalty extending the drive. Koi Perich slipping returning the kick, then Gets fumble. Those three plays were the game at Rutgers
