Other Bowl Games Thread

A change they need to make to OT rules is to allow only 1 timeout for the entire OT.

This was evident during the GA/GA Tech game. Kirby kept taking a timeout on defense every OT period. Doesn't make sense when you're it's just one play back n forth. Taking 8 TOs in OT doesn't make sense. Takes waaaay too long.
What a great idea! The overtimes are way too long and boring...because they are too long. Eliminating timeouts would make them shorter and more exciting.

Navy defense barely provided a speed bump for Oklahoma’s first possession.

Interesting uniform choice for Navy: back in their Jolly Rogers theme that they wore in their big victory over Army.

95 yard TD romp ny Navy QB to set al time Navy record for longest run -just after I turned it on.

So cool to see two Services Academy in bowls.

I went to a game at West Point -if you ever have an opportunity go. Stadium overlooks the Hudson River and is regularly rated as one of the best venues to watch CFB.

They also have one of largest/if not largest military museums in the country with items all the way back to the Civil War. We spent two hours in there and Saturday before a game it was basically empty.

Navy should’ve been the 3 loss team in the playoff, not bama

They almost have the same number of committee ranked wins too
Bama only has one more ranked win than navy

Great matchup, I think 🤞, between two of my favorite teams at this level; play hard and are competent

Refs with 3 or 4 really questionable calls for the SEC the last few minutes.

These refs are dogshit. Usually they try not to follow up a terrible call with another terrible call on the same team.....but not these guys.

Almost like they're just carrying over their reffing from the GTech/Georgia game.

I know games aren't played on paper. I also know the difference between there, their, and they're. You post like an angry, 15 year old, latch key kid.
You're such a clown let's not act like OU was down 20 starters. There portal entries are mostly dudes transferring down who can't get on the field for a team that lost to a service academy. People who use terms like Anyone who knows ball doesn't really know ball.

The spread was -1.5. Nobody is surprised by the outcome except you.

On one hand, Oklahoma was down their starting QB, and that alone is enough to make life tough on any team. Add in the impact of other transfers out and it’s not surprising that a mediocre Oklahoma team would lose to a pretty good Navy team.

On the other hand, it’s incredibly funny that an SEC team lost to a service academy, and so I’m going to ignore Oklahoma’s transfer problem in favor of pushing my favored narrative, which is that the SEC is terrible and Navy was snubbed from the CFP.

Wonder if the announcers will ever realize the laces weren't out the holder said "I'm sorry" to the kicker?

Before the game I thought ATM would win this game. Maybe by 2 touchdowns. When it started, that changed to a 45-10 type of score. Either way I want Shirttail BIG to beat the sec dorks.

Was listening to the Las Vegas Bowl on the radio and as soon as A&M went up three scores the USC announcer starts talking about how Texas A&M will beat USC for the first time in the last four meetings while the game is still in the third quarter… Then proceeds to talk about bowl results from two weeks ago in between plays. And now, of course, USC is starting to close the gap. Was their season really *that* bad?
