Those were Heupel's senior year high school goals. It appears that his post-college goal sheet included the item "Gain another 100-plus pounds by the time I'm 45."

Heupel was a really good college QB and I believe he was mentioned as a possible Gopher HC both when the moved on from Brewster and Claeys. He hadn't had any head coaching experience prior to those job openings and after the Brewter experience, the Gophers were obviously reluctant to go down that road again.
 

Man not really many good games. Texas/Clemson sorta....

I was hoping for more good ones but hopefully the next round will give us that.

Ohio State vs Oregon seems to be the best one.

Boise St vs Penn St should be good.

George vs ND should be good.

I think there's a chance Arizona St. gets blownout by Texas.
 

N Illinois just had a 20 play drive that took nearly 12 minutes. However they didn’t score.
 








I had NIU minus 2.5. Fresno hits field goal from 30 yards at end of game, I'm a loser. Fresno scores 1st in OT, if NIU doesn't match score, I lose. Bottom line, should have lost but got the win. Occasionally get lucky.
 


You gotta feel bad for some of these smaller schools who have good years to get to bowl games only to have their best players enter the portal. Coastal Carolina QB made his first start today after their QB bolted.....they had no chance.

As far as I know....players that enter the portal can still play in their bowl games (assuming that the coach doesn't tell them to buzz off).

if a guy is leaving, i would see no reason to play him in your bowl game which should be about rewarding those who are staying/showing off your team, not letting some guy put more on film for another team. on top of that, as the player entering (ie the starter), why would you risk injury when you're trying to get paid in the portal?
 

Back to back touchdowns (screen pass that goes for like 70 yards followed up by a pick six) for Toledo in what used to be the Quick Lane Bowl.
 

Toledo was looking like they were done....and then a thick six! Pitt currently leading 30-27 about halfway through the 4th quarter.

This isn’t a bad bowl game when ACC and Big ten both place a team

Looks like Rutgers is without their good RB but has the services of Athan Kaliakmanis tonight on the baseball diamond.
 


A change they need to make to OT rules is to allow only 1 timeout for the entire OT.

This was evident during the GA/GA Tech game. Kirby kept taking a timeout on defense every OT period. Doesn't make sense when you're it's just one play back n forth. Taking 8 TOs in OT doesn't make sense. Takes waaaay too long.
 


Turf flying up all over the place and guys sliding all around again at the rate bowl. That game should be boycotted by every unfortunate team invited to it. What a joke.

What a fun game. Toledo rushes the field, twice, only to be foiled by a holding penalty and a review that allows Pitt to tie. Finally, the third time is the charm. Toledo 48, Pitt 46.
 

Why would you kick a FG from the 1? Pitt blew that one. Looked like the coaches did not shake hands at the end....
 

Rutgers K-State looks like both teams invested about the same amount of defensive preparation as you see in a typical NBA all-star game.

Rutgers finally with a defensive pulse and an int just as I type that.

Horrible pick by AK, threw it right to KSU in stride. Wildcats trying to get it to a one possession game
