The biggest problem with Indiana is they played a very conservative first half. Refuse to try to run a kickoff back, lots of conservative run calls on 2nd and 3rd down, etc. they better open it up in the second half or they are going to quietly go one step forward, two steps back into “congrats on a fun season” land.

Yeah I’m aware of that, I guess I just don’t see how a half of football tonight at all suggests that the same thing is happening again??

But they've run a bunch of cute gadget plays that haven't worked at all.
 




What a boring game. Nothing fun at all besides one long run.
 






Indiana is going to come crashing down to earth next year. They can't even tackle tonight. The 9 yards per play they give up is really nice...
 

Indiana tackles like the entire team left their arms in Bloomington.

In this case.....yes. That safety could have definitely cut off the running back. You're making excuses for incompetence.
 

Now if Indiana can score in 3 or less plays, I'll think they have a chance.

And the ESPN talking heads are already talking about how SOS is going to have to matter more going forward. Goodbye one loss teams.....hello three loss SEC teams. :mad:

How did we lose to Bowling Green?....it happens sometimes, teams just lay an egg, make too many mistakes and the other team is able to capitalize.

Looks like Notre Dame threw 2 picks in the game, lost by 2 points....probably just an off day all around.

Early in the season a factor too.

Said in another thread that the other guys need to do well in the playoff, Indiana, SMU, ASU and Boise State....if they don't it will lead to teams like Alabama getting in ahead of them based on SOS.

The reality is that Indiana has had 2 shots against really good teams and has fallen flat in both cases. Their high powered offense that blew out the bad teams, managed 15 against Ohio State and is sitting at 3 in the 4th quarter against Notre Dame.

Indiana had a heck of a year......but they have shown that while they were better than most of the Big Ten they were not good enough to compete with the CFP level teams.
 


Wow.....Cignetti waiving the white flag......Indiana showing they are not ready for prime time and maybe time to pump the brakes on some of the Cignetti love.....will be interesting to see what they look like next year.

My guess is they come back to the pack hard.
 



Notre Dame has been sending numbers on defense all night and Indiana can't figure out how to get the ball more than 3 yards downfield. Kinda reminds me of a Sanford offense.

Rourke is overrated. He holds on to the ball way too long.

Notre Dame is clearly better athletically. I thought they were just as overrated as Indiana, but was totally wrong.

Not a good look at all punting in the 4th quarter of a win or go home game when you need 3 scores. Don't care if it was 4th and 11.....you have to go for it there because you can't afford to let them score again or burn a ton of clock (looks like they are going to do both).
 


The way Indiana has completely avoided going for the jugular, I’m surprised they haven’t been punting on third down.

And they were on the the right side of the 50. I just don't get it.
