Ole Miss throwing downfield with seconds left in the game. Kiffin blaming it on his QB. What a prick.
Stay classy Lane!Ole Miss throwing downfield with seconds left in the game. Kiffin blaming it on his QB. What a prick.
Wonder what they’re saying over at the Duke football forum?Stay classy Lane!
Duke is playing the backup team. Bowls are pretty meaninglessDuke looks terrible. Ole Miss doesn't even have to throw the ball downfield. Just a swing pass or a quick receiver screen picks up seven or eight everytime. Duke has done nothing to stop it.
Are you sure they are meaningless.....I mean according to the SEC it just means more.....would assume that applies to bowls as wellDuke is playing the backup team. Bowls are pretty meaningless
It’s fun bama and South Carolina lost but the bowl are pretty meaningless
It looked like from the outset, Kiffin was absolutely determineed to destroy a Duke team that had lost its QB and starting RB to the portal prior to the bowl to somehow vindicate SEC superiority. Why the Mississippi starters were even in the game when they were up by 30+ points in the 4th quarter is beyond me.Duke is playing the backup team. Bowls are pretty meaningless

Was a perfect opportunity to get some playing time for guys that might help next year.It looked like from the outset, Kiffin was absolutely determineed to destroy a Duke team that had lost its QB and starting RB to the portal prior to the bowl to somehow vindicate SEC superiority. Come on fellas you know that PJ does the same exact thing he plays his starters to the bitter end.Was a perfect opportunity to get some playing time for guys that might help next year.
Fleck had his starting QB throwing up 31 with under 2 minutes left?Come on fellas you know that PJ does the same exact thing he plays his starters to the bitter end.
That and reward the second-teamers who have put in the same amount of practice time and had sacrificed as much as the regulars during the season. But "Noooooooooooooooo!" Lane had to make a statement. Was a perfect opportunity to get some playing time for guys that might help next year.
Fleck could have absolutely buried Kill's NMSU team when they came to town a couple of years ago, but he put on the breaks.Come on fellas you know that PJ does the same exact thing he plays his starters to the bitter end.
Perhaps if Lane was a better coach his talented roster would not have underachieved and lost at home to Kentucky and to two mediocre LSU and Florida teamsIt looked like from the outset, Kiffin was absolutely determineed to destroy a Duke team that had lost its QB and starting RB to the portal prior to the bowl to somehow vindicate SEC superiority. Something about no weeks off and every week is a challenge in the SEC or some shitPerhaps if Lane was a better coach his talented roster would not have underachieved and lost at home to Kentucky and to two mediocre LSU and Florida teams
Nobody plays starters later in the game that’s out of hand than PJ. I don’t condone the long pass by Ole Miss (doesn’t cause me angst either) but having their starters in there is right out of PJs handbook.Fleck had his starting QB throwing up 31 with under 2 minutes left?
The Gophers had their backups in on offense against Maryland while up 25 with a little over 2 minutes left so no he doesn't do the same thing.
He keeps players in longer than most would like, I agree. But to say he keeps starters in longer than anyone else is inaccurate. The Ole Miss game last night alone proves you wrong.Nobody plays starters later in the game that’s out of hand than PJ. Really? How about this instead– – Hardly any college coaches… Instead of Nobody…He keeps players in longer than most would like, I agree. But to say he keeps starters in longer than anyone else is inaccurate. The Ole Miss game last night alone proves you wrong.
In the appetizer bowl game before the Mayo bowl, North Texas is starting a QB vs Texas St. who’s last start at QB was as a freshman on the B team in high school.
Really depends. Many leave starters in in the early season to get reps and build the conditioning for a whole game.Really? How about this instead– – Hardly any college coaches… Instead of Nobody…
Singleton was running the ball for PSU with 7min left up 28 vs SMU. The OSU starters were still in vs Oregon up 20 with under 3 min left and their defensive starters until the last run with 20 seconds left. College coaches do weird shit like this all the time (same as the NFL). Think we notice it more with our backs that get high usage in games vs directional schools.Really? How about this instead– – Hardly any college coaches… Instead of Nobody…
I think that’s just kind of bad decision making, I don’t think Fleck leaves guys in to run up the score. He just is being overly risk adverse I guess.Nobody plays starters later in the game that’s out of hand than PJ. Freshman. Lost the starter to the Portal.I saw that too. So what is he even doing on this team? Athlete and they lost all of their other quarterbacks?
Actually, an interesting story about this kid.I saw that too. So what is he even doing on this team? Athlete and they lost all of their other quarterbacks?
And he just runs for a long TD with under 2 minutes left. What a game for this kid.Freshman. Lost the starter to the Portal.
That's almost always called a catch these days.I did not notice this
