Ouch

Western Illinois should just put 11 in the box. Dare McEvoy to throw to actual wide open receivers. Probably 50/50 that he hits them.
1-2 vs big 5 conferences so far.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Love it.
This is bad for the prestige of our conference. Unless you're an SEC fan.
I don't know about you, but my schadenfreude meter has not only pegged to eleven but blown up watching that second half. It was beautiful. A Glen Mason like coaching performance.
That was a prior era Gopher-like meltdown and it couldn't happen to nicer people. While I never like to see injuries they are now in a similar situation to us.
Damnit, why did i go to bed! Sconny was rolling and i couldn't watch anymore
I really don't understand the whole "support the conference" crowd. Wisconsin winning a game will never have a positive impact on our Gophers...never, and if for some reason it could have a positive impact, I still might root for them to lose. Agony from Wisconsin might be sweeter than my own personal joy. The best part is that LSU isn't even that good...not too many fake Gopher fans/badger trolls floating around this thread anymore - it's kind of nice. Someone made mention of injuries, who else got hurt besides Zags (also, I'm glad he's okay. That was a scary scene, and I'm no monster)?
FIFY
It's because I care about the Gophers first, plain and simple. Wisconsin losing helps us more than them winning does. We recruit directly against them. It's different with teams like Ohio St. and Michigan St., we don't battle with them very often, if ever. But we do with Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois.
The reputation of the Big Ten isn't what it once was, but it's still one of the top conferences in the country. WI losing doesn't affect that a whole lot.
I'd like to know how you came to this conclusion? I know WI and IA fans that would love it if we went 0-12. I know a Michigan fan who always says cheering for Ohio St. is like cheering for the Soviets. I highly doubt our fan base is any different than most others.
Wisconsin losing doesn't help us at all. It's a non conference game.
Me too!
Oh badger tears are delicious with morning coffee. Hahahahahahahahaha.

You may have missed the part where we compete against them for recruits (who, by the way, DO occasionally care how the teams recruiting them have performed lately)
Aside from that though, Wisconsin just sucks and I'll only cheer for them in some weird hypothetical where we are #5 in the nation in the last week of the year and they are going head to head against #4 to get us into the playoff, or something similar to that
Kill said this morning that he has never lost a recruit to Wisconsin.
In other words, we go after a different class of recruit. They go after the good ones. We go after the leftovers. Until we are going after the good recruits. It really doesn't matter.
Ohh the classic fanboy answer in a "Fire Anderson" Thread:
Wow, very premature thread. Give him time to get his recruits. He is still playing with Bielema's player's.
