Other B1G Conference Games 2024-25

We have some very good shooters. Heyer, Grocholski, Stewart, and Battle are all decent from the arc, Sophie is fun to watch inside, as well as several of them that are great at driving and putting up tough shots. UCLA just had depth and excellent defense today. They got on a roll, and our energy level deflated.
*consistent shooters.

3pt shooting is one thing, but clanging it off the hoop on layups or short hook shots is deflating.

Lucy Olsen with 32 points and 7 assists led Iowa (7-6) to an 81-66 win over Nebraska (7-6) in Lincoln

Iowa is on a 5 game heater with wins at MN and NE and #4 USC. Olsen has been given the green light to play free like Clark and the team is responding. One thing I notice about Iowa and how they play is the amount of smiling they do with each other. Even the coach gets in on the fun. They seem to have a really fun culture.

Hope they lose the rest of their games. :ROFLMAO:

As much as I don't like Iowa, they're sure fun to watch. Love how they space the floor and have shooters all around. Fun brand of basketball.

Been a fan of the TV deal for the Big Ten, but #3 vs. #8 in the SEC on ESPN2 against #1 vs. #6 in the Big Ten on Peacock is a big miss.

Illinois just won their 8th Big Ten game in a row. The Gophers' win against them is looking better and better.

Playing without an injured Britt Prince (ankle), the Huskers defeated Oregon in Lincoln 94-90. Nebraska knocked down the threes in OT and were led by Markowski who put on a show with 35 points and 15 rebounds for the game

OSU getting killed by Indiana. Usual Buckeye problem: They can't shoot. (39 points through three quarters)

Jan Jensen has to take the top prize for the most animated coach in the BIG.

Unfortunately it’s the only good win on the season. Need to win out.

Washington just blew Nebraska out by 20 at Nebraska.

At least three teams will finish 11-7 (MSU, Illinois and Michigan) as Michigan's 17-1 late run defeated Illinois in Champaign 78-69

It was my impression from this site that the Gophers teams were the only teams in the BIG I Cant Remember How Many Teams that ever loses a late game lead by getting out scored by a preposterous sum?

Maryland and Ohio State both finished 13-5 as the Terps won a crazy conclusion 93-90

The only difference is the Gophers choke away multiple games in which winning and losing is the difference between making the NCAA Tournament or not while Illinois losing today makes no difference in that regard since they've already won enough games to be a lock.

Well young Michigan team had no problems with Washington.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Olivia Olson scored 21 points, fellow freshman Syla Swords added 15 and No. 5 seed Michigan beat No. 12 seed Washington 66-58 on Thursday in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament to end the Huskies' five-game win streak.

Michigan (21-9) advances to play No. 4 seed and 15th-ranked Maryland on Friday in the quarterfinals. The Wolverines lost 85-77 to the then-No. 21 Terrapins on Feb. 17. Michigan reached the semifinals last year, marking the first time it had done so since back-to-back appearances in 2019 and 2020.

Olson opened and closed a 13-0 third-quarter run to give Michigan a 49-39 lead with 3:01 remaining in the frame. She scored nine points during the run, while Washington missed nine straight shots

Iowa's bench is making an enormous difference in what is looking like a win over the Spartans.
Yup, the program Bluder and Jensen have built is impressive, even if you don't like the Iowa as rivalry. They took a few setback losses early on this year while they developed players and now they are rolling with a deep bench and even started developing for next year playing all freshman with bigger lead in game against Wisconsin in the BTT.
