Has Coyle ever coached basketball? So umm… does Coyle shoot his agent a text to see if there’s interest?
As in Holtmann’s agent…Has Coyle ever coached basketball?
Ohhhh. Do we really want a guy who's done less with way more and was outcoached by CBJ last year?As in Holtmann’s agent…
As in Holtmann’s agent…
We'll see if Ben is looking to change his assistant coaches at all.As in Holtmann’s agent…
Holtmann was underwhelming for sure, props to OSU for pulling the trigger at this point.
Has he made it past the first weekend of the tourney?Well, prior to last season, he had five straight 20 game winning seasons at OSU. That wouldn't be considered underwhelming at most schools.

I'm all set on Holtmann.Well, prior to last season, he had five straight 20 game winning seasons at OSU. That wouldn't be considered underwhelming at most schools.
At Butler yes, OSU, noHas he made it past the first weekend of the tourney?

I agree, I'll say some schools (like MN) are much more ok with mediocre where some schools (like OSU) are here for titles. OSU has plenty of money to fire and pay anyone they need if it means they have a better shot to win. That certainly doesn't always work but I give them props for not settling.Well, since only 16 coaches do each year, one who fails to do that has lots of company.
Ohio State can do whatever they want with Holtmann. I don't care. My point was that most programs would be churning through a lot of coaches and going broke paying buyouts if that was their standard.
Refresh my memory, how many titles does OSU have?I agree, I'll say some schools (like MN) are much more ok with mediocre where some schools (like OSU) are here for titles. I think holtmann is a good coach at like a MWC level school much like he was at butler.
Bounced as a 2-seed, no lessHas he made it past the first weekend of the tourney?
How long since Mn been to the tournament? How many ncaas has your coach cbj been to?Has he made it past the first weekend of the tourney?
5 years. How long since Mn been to the tournament? How many ncaas has your coach cbj been to?
5 years.
Two. 2009 and 2010. Quite a resume.
Ohio State has a long history of underperforming its talent. Started before Holtman.Bounced as a 2-seed, no less
His buyout is $12.5 M; what incentive would he have to become anyone’s assistant coach? We'll see if Ben is looking to change his assistant coaches at all.
