***OFFICIAL YALE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I think they'd be more effective just chucking threes early in the clock. Nothing else works.

Just shoot and rebound and see what happens. Stop all the worthless sets. They're meaningless.

Every person with a pulse knew this hire was a failure from at least the middle of season 2. Everyone.

And yet here we are, thumbs up our collective asses, waiting out another failed season for the inevitable firing that every single person knew was coming for at least 2 years.

And there's STILL people blatherong on and on about why he should still be here. They're lying to us. And lying to themselves. They're not that brainless.
Ya but! Man, we got injuries this year. Obviously, Ben will need one more year just to be sure it really isn't going to work. Then regrettably Coyle might feel it's okay to fire him after five years of this.

Seems like there will be a lot of FTs this half. Gonna need to shoot them better than we have

Actually, Garcia has been fairly awful in this game. Rigsby is the leading scorer with 8.
True....meant that more in general as we know Garcia can score but these first half outputs in the last two games have been brutal.

In all seriousness- Johnson was hired in part because he was a MN guy with ties to the program, and he had recruiting ties with MN HS coaches. This was supposed to be the answer to complaints that the Gophers couldn't recruit MN players.

And then the sport changed with NIL and the portal, and suddenly recruiting HS kids wasn't as important. So it turned out to be bad timing. If Johnson does leave, at least the next coach will presumably be coming in with some understanding of the new state of the game.

You are such a tool.....I don't think I can be more clear about my take on Johnson....if you aren't capable of reading it and understanding that's on you.
LOL.
Just the other day you said Johnson "deserved" this year.

Deserved.

Which is effing idiocy. No coach "deserves" his job.

They cut the lead to 2 at one point. That's probably good enough.

1st paragraph...agreed.

2nd paragraph...what changed?

LOL.

Thanks for proving my point....in the post you are referring to I said he deserved a chance to coach the team he had assembled last year.

Also said in the exact same post that a case could have been made for firing him when all those players left but the people who actually make the decisions chose not too.....but apparently that is too tough of a concept for you to understand. So just keep cherrypicking the words that you think prove your point.

I'll eat my words from the other day. I now think they should have odukale go to the hoop every time. He can beat his defender and can finish. Seems talented. Not sure about his handles.

Ehhhhhhh…..

On the plus side, Fox makes more sense at the spot than Payne did. Fox could potentially get to the rim from there on a dribble drive. You cheered when Payne safely got it to a teammate from there.
Isn't that scary that we should be thankful that our offensive concept this year has the potential to get a player to the rim as opposed to no chance like last year? LMAO
