***OFFICIAL YALE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The NIL has absolutely killed the last vestiges of hope for this program. We already had huge problems competing for recruits but now, its like we got no chance. Everytime we get someone decent they get snatched up by another program with cash.
How about the coach?

I have to believe that this is quite an improvement for the Gophers. Yale is a much better team than North Texas. Yale lost to Purdue in a high scoring game by only eight points. With that said, the Gophers are going to have a tough season and Ben’s future is tentative at the least.

Yale is not better than North Texas

Dominating the turnover battle.

Yep, that's how they won this game - extra possessions. Had 55 shots from the field to their 45. Had 26 free throws to their 12. I guess that's how you shoot 36.4% from the field, 17.6% from 3, and 61.5% from the free throw line and still win the game.

North Texas is a much better defensive team. I mean, they held the Goofs to 14 first half points compared to Yale holding the Goofs to 19 first half points. Tenacious D I tells ya! 😏

Coyle and the u leadership are the culprits and have been for a long, long time.

Was only able to watch about the last 10 minutes. Odd stat with Mitchell, 7 rebounds and 6 were offensive? Interesting.

He made a big difference when he was in. He's got to watch his fouls because he's pretty essential for this team to have any success. He also sets screens well.

The refs controlling the second half helped.

Oh FFS. Just stop shoveling manure already.

Even if we could afford it, no top name Coach will be interested in this job. 3 reasons: play in a run down barn, not enough NIL money, and finally our Administration.

Kentucky settled on their 5th or 6th choice. In today’s world of college basketball, it’s hard to get top name coaches to go anywhere. That has nothing to do with our NIL program or facilities.

That said, we could absolutely land a coach who has experience from the mid major ranks that could help build our program. That’s about exactly where we always are when looking for a coach.

Neither NIL nor the Barn are an excuse for the state we’re in.
