What I heard was that he wouldn't recommend missing on purpose. Then to his surprise he explained the evidence of how Battle intentionally did miss the free throw.
And I agree...he should have made it...miss don't get the rebound..foul...they make two...four point game with a couple seconds..can't tie.

Everyone in the building except our coaches new they were probably going to foul Samuels.

This is another one on the coaches. How do you not make an adjustment on defense? There was one time with about 2-3 minutes left that JOJ doubled and it resulted in the post throwing it back out. That was the only time that happened.

The positive is the freshman are looking more and more confident.

You brought Samuels in for one reason: to foul.

Coaching malpractice to have him stay in on offense and bring the ball up after not playing for 39:43. Carrington was 4-4 from the line. Fireable offense considering there are 500 other reasons to move on as well.

All the people around us in our section--including the Badger fans--were incredulous that the Gophers weren't adjusting. It was almost incredible they didn't double the post when Hepburn was out with foul trouble, leaving the Badgers with the airballing McGee in his place.
