Purdue is well known for its inability to stop the run. But our coaches don't know how to exploit weaknesses. Every time I hear about a team that can't stop the run, they seem to stop us fairly well. It's such crap and an indictment against this staff.
 

Looked like one of our "trick them" passes.

Would you, lol? Our last two 4th down attempts have been unsuccessful. Purdue DL is DOMINATING us upfront. Sad, but true. That was the right call...sadly.

Most p5 teams are better at passing. Teams can afford to cheat vs run.
 

Why wouldn't you call TO after 2nd down and force Purude into a decision? Now it's really no decision at all.
 

Not sure how they would know this but I'm guessing it is true.

That was the right play. You only had one timeout, so might as well let the clock run down on second down (just in case Purdue got a first down). Leave your timeout for after 3rd down when you KNOW you are getting the ball back.
 

How professional, they cut to the B10 desk and those guys are talking smack...
