***OFFICIAL OMAHA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Omaha does some absolutely absurd dribble turn overs haha

Asuma is very unselfish to a fault, he could take over the game if he wanted. Passed up a few scoring opportunities. He'll learn as he goes along.
I saw him play 1 game at Cherry when I was in Hibbing for work, and he was the same there. Unselfish, head always up looking for the right pass.

This was before he committed and I just loved him as a player.

He’ll be really good as he learns.

Yes, he's going to learn to take over games, but he has to learn quickly as he's going to be much needed this season.

Yup. We're going to need guys to drive to the rim at some point. Asuma seems to be one of the few guys who'll be able to do it.

Omaha will lead D1 in travels

Finish it here on this possession.

Great D

Hold your spot and those guys will eventually drive into trouble

Are they going to review that or what?

Ohmaha, more like Oh momma there goes that Geomiydae!!! Never stood a chance!

Now...how bad is Mitchell's injury?
Gonna have both Mitchell's in civi's for awhile?

Concerning game. But....it is early in the year.....and we have a lot of new players. Last year the Gophers got off to a rough start before turning it up. And Omaha looked to be a pretty competent team with some athletes.

Edmonds giving good minutes, which is nice. If CBJ can't get Betts on the floor with Fox and Garcia in foul trouble and no Mitchell, he's just not capable of playing at this level.
I thought Betts in his very limited minutes have made some solid contributions. 1-2 from 3Pt. Few offensive rebounds, and and 1 drive. Think Ben needs to use his size at the 3. Especially if Mitchell is out for a while which I assume he will be.

Way better to win that then to lose. But dropped 16 spots in Kenpom to 68.

Will be really bad result for the NET unless Omaha improves

Even if he was ready, I could see why they kept him out of this game. They probably expected to win fairly comfortably without him. The next opponent on Wednesday should be much tougher.

I really doubt he plays for awhile. But, I hope it's just a sprained ankle. The way they carried him off the court, I also wouldn't be shocked to see this be much, much worse.

Bad sprain it will be end of January, break about the same.

Patterson had 6 rebounds. Led in assists with 6 and 35 minutes of action.
Rigsby, 21 minutes and no rebounds, Odukale 19 minutes and 2 rebounds.
Edmonds 4 of 6 from the line. (Last year had a game where he went 7 of 8)
Team went from 11 of 17 from beyond the arc last game to 3 of 17 this game.
Team had 7 blocks
What would they do without Garcia? 24 points, 7 rebounds.
Basically went 8 deep with Betts getting 3 minutes also.
Asuma keeps his perfect streak alive and well with that 3 he hit. Now 3 of 3 on the season.
Gophers 15 of 26 from the line.
Gophers out rebounded 37-34 (Calling Frank Mitchell)
