This will be the last game of a way too short Ski-U-Max Brosmer Gopher career. A shame he's out of eligibility. I imagine we'll have some game time news that other Gopher greats will not play.

But we own the nation's longest bowl winning streak, the Big Ten's longest ever bowl winning streak. That streak gets extended tonight!!!!!

full disclosure - I will not be watching the game in real time. I have another obligation tonight - made before I knew the date of the bowl game - so I will DVR the game and watch it on Saturday.

If possible, I will try to sneak some peeks at the score during the evening.

it stinks when real life intrudes on my pursuit of self-indulgence. but every now and then, I try to act like a decent person, even if it is an act.

There is no food I loathe more than mayo. Anyone who knows me even casually in real life knows this. Having to fetishize an off brand mayo for a day is going to be a lot, but I can row the boat.

I prepared for this day for years, knowing the Mayo Bowl was coming for the M&G sooner or later.

There is a surprisingly large and passionate group of avowed mayo-phobes out there. When we meet each other it's like two sea slugs of the same kind meeting in the vast ocean to mate.

For 'em, though I prefer the Toaster Strudel. I would also prefer to consume Scooter's Coffee, Famous Idaho Potatoes, Wasabi, Frosted Flakes, Chick-fil-A, Sugar, and Crickets.

I might even go with Valero over Mayo.

My sister is also in that category. But she will have Cecil's coleslaw sometimes.

First off......ewwww on the sea of Mayo visual.....just gross.

I bet we have some sort of trick play setup with Koi on offense for the bowl game. Bowls are a perfect time to bust out stuff like that.

The spring game used to be one of the highlights of my year getting a sneak peek at some of the young players. Since we don’t have that anymore and since a decent chunk of our starters won’t play today, one of the best parts of today will be watching some of the young players get some time. Should be great fun tonight. PJ likes to win these shitty bowl games. I think we take them down by 20.

One last opportunity to "DO THE GOPHER" for a season that has had a lot of ups and downs. More accurately, it started down but has steadily trended up.

I was very cautious in August with a "wait and see" approach. September made me angry with an extremely disappointing showing against Iowa and what I felt was an awful effort through the first 3Q against a very beatable Michigan team. But then October happened, and PJ seemed to trust his quarterback more. Lincoln Riley making some god-awful coaching decisions certainly didn't hurt either. November saw two tough losses but a glorious beat-down over the Badgers tipped the scales into making this season a successful campaign.
