I will have to admit, I am pretty impressed with the Gophers so far today
 

Weber is as nervous as a whore in church. Hard to believe the guy is a fifth year, four year starter. He doesn't know when to zip the ball and when to put air under it. Nice guy. Poor leader who makes bad decisions under pressure.
 

Now listening to "Lispin' Lou" ramble on aimlessly. I would love to listen to a taped conversation of Lou and Sid Hartman.

But again, that is why the spread worked for him. Offense was geared toward not having to make difficult checkdowns and adjust the throw. The spread can make a subpar QB look good and a good QB look awesome.
 



Well...

Last year against Cal we were down 21-14 at Halftime...

This year against USC it's 13-7...
 

Name a QB in the Big 10 who is worst than Weber. The rookie QBs we played against in our first two games were better than Weber.
 




The effort is much improved, Weber and the play-calling are still horsecrap, but better than I expected after the 1st Half.
 



Defense has looked alright. Effort is there. Having Theret back is a big plus. At least he knows where to stand on the field.
 





We're one drive from taking the lead...

USC is one drive from blowing the game open...

It's about who strikes next...

If Weber had better protection, receivers who held onto the ball, and runners who could keep the defense honest, Adam would be one of the top QBs in the Big Ten. Put any other Big Ten starting QB into our offense and they would fare no better than Adam.

Weber might go down as the most overrated QB in gopher history, sure he has all of these U of M records, but seriously what does that mean?? That's like becoming Army's all time leading passer, they've never thrown the BALL!! Plus who else has been allowed to start for four years?? Weber simply has never lead a game winning drive, beaten a rival (much like Brewster), or won a game of any importance. He also has greatly played down to his competition in recent years. To put Weber even in the category of even a Asad Abdul-Khaliq is absurd.
