***OFFICIAL*** Minnesota Vs. Southern California (GAME THREAD)

Is that (a) bad coaching, (b) stupidity by an overeager freshman, or (c) bad luck?

Nope. But that evens things out with the non-call on the fumble.

Anybody with high definition see if it hit his back or not?

I don't have HD. The way they called it on the field, it couldn't really be reversed based on the replays available. It seemed to bounce as if it hit the ground and his heel simultaneously.

It did not. It landed about a foot behind his foot. I don't know why we have replay in college. I've honestly seen them get it wrong more than I've seen them get it right.

That clearly did NOT touch any part of Brock...*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#ty call.

Here comes the boo's...

Brewster lost his balls in that NW game & hasn't gotten them back yet...

I think they should be able to use just a little bit of inference rather than the "indisputable" evidence. This is what results in this stupidity, IMHO. In replay people can see the call was wrong from the way the ball fell and bounced...but they can't actually see the space in between the ball and the foot so they can't overturn it.

One benefit of being ill today is

I got to add another faniemy to what is now a top ten list!

That is if Charles Benjamin's two accounts count separately.

The sad part is Kyle Theret is actually making a difference...

So much for "Depth"...

We have replay because they get it right sometimes.

Same old same old from a bad QB and terrible coaches. Brad Childress makes another appearance at TCF. Run it up the middle 20 times and get about 30 yards out of it. Yawn.

Points come from passing the football. If Weber can't do it, put someone else in.

That was an unbelievably ridiculous play by someone who, as a senior, is supposed to know better.

Weber simply can't make, or doesn't trust, his initial reads. It's why the spread worked for him and nothing else has.

Yep. Confidence is key in the QB position, but I think it's clear that Weber thinks he's about ten times better than he actually is.

And these refs suck too. I've never seen them wait so long to blow the whistle on forward progress being stopped.

Why criticize Adam, he's playing great overall. Its 3rd and long, so you throw it...an interception is not much worse than punt. Other than that throw, his throws have been dead on and he made a nice little run.

Yes, you throw it off your back foot across your body to the middle of the field! Genius!
