***OFFICIAL*** Minnesota Vs. Air Force (GAME THREAD)

Go for it and finish this game off!!! (Also for the reason that we tried to kick a 40 yarder last week and it was short).

I say kick the field goal. Our D has been holding AF's offense. Make it a two possession game.

I agree, go for the kick. Two possessions at this point would be big.

I don't know why we wait til' the 4th to start playing some Offense.......

Smart Brew, don't take points off the board.......

Ellestad is proving to be pretty clutch early in his career. :)

Why not take the penalty and auto first down and run more time off the clock?

totally agree - take the penalty - that is whack.

Fumble. Fumble. Fumble.

If your D is playing well and you are going against a ball control offense, you take the two score lead with 5 minutes remaining. No brainer in my opinion.

Football 101 - NEVER TAKE POINTS OFF THE BOARD

He takes the penalty, Eskridge fumbles, Air Force recovers, we call for Brewster's head.......

Agree completely. Football 101. Never take points off the board.

You have to take the penalty there. Even if you run up the gut 3 times and re-kick the FG you've burned 2 minutes.

Has anybody stopped to consider that the Gophers are playing outside, in front of a packed house? Wow.

In another circumstance, I might agree with taking the penalty. But going up two scores against an offense the style of Air Force's makes a big difference. They aren't by definition a quick strike offense, so two scores looks like a heckuva mountain to climb, especially with less than five minutes to go.

AAARrggghhh. They convert TWO fourth downs. The game would be over!

Lol, that nearside referee gives a foot on every play close to 1st down.

So much for Air Force's "Conditioning" & "Discipline".......

We are looking at an onside kick. I can't take this.
