I think they were in for a let down after coming close and then coming up short vs. tOSU last week.
 

At this point, i'd almost like to see them try a few simple go routes with McDonald, just to try to get him involved and work on his confidence.

Exactly - we started him game 7....so SIX GAMES IN. You wouldnt hear someone say "we're three quarters into this game" at halftime

Omg you are ridiculous! I never said we burned his redshirt after 7 games. I said we burned it 7 games in meaning he played the 7th game. Jesus, you are a nitpicking sob! Nelson lost 6 games for his career, I would have preferred that didn't happen. Go take a Prozac

Which is exactly why I did one game bet on line in Vegas when we played Syracuse and we were +3. I laid out 110, we won by 7. I took my 210, cashed it back in, will not do it again. If I do think of it, yes, I look at my Predict the Score thread and also the Pick per Day threads, see how crappy I am at making picks, and realize that no amount of skill will ever replace dumb luck, because dumb luck becomes bad luck, and Vegas was not built by people winning money. :)
 


Anyone think of a half of football by a Gophers quarterback to compare to this?

technically Nelson may have only lost 2 games because if he gets us to a bowl game every year he plays then we get 4 more games.

While i appreciate the anecdote, I was simply referring to the need for babysitting/referee'ing and not actually your prediciton(s).
 


I like seeing Beal out there making plays, seems like he is getting alot of reps today.
