*** OFFICIAL MINNESOTA-FLORIDA STATE IN-GAME THREAD ***

Looking stellar tonight even with a still slightly hobbled Mbakwe. Go Gophers!

From the 7:00-5:00 mark the Gophers looked markedly different than years past. The lead was down to 9 I believe and instead of going into the typical dribble around for 34 seconds on the perimeter and jack up a shot they went for the throat. Coleman shot well, they attacked the basket and they didn't sit back they put FSU away. Very positive change.

A good performance but it is clear there are no great ball-handlers on this team. Austin cannot break down defenders and make it happen. He continues to try to do more than he is capable of.

Great ball handlers are hard to come by. Why do you suppose that Tyus Jones is such a commodity nationwide?

per Max Bretos ESPN @mbretosESPN: Minnesota looks like a final four team. I am hoping that is what I am seeing, and its not that @floridastate is this bad on defense.

Florida State really refuses to give up on this one....It's over boys.

We just need to keep getting better, no one is perfect, be happy on a nice win.

Look at how well we shot free throws and how well we protected the ball. Enjoy the ride I think it will be fun

literally as I was typing how good they've been about hitting free throws, Trev airmails one

Florida State fought hard and they still couldn't crack it into a single digit deficit until 2 seconds left in the game. Well done boys

Unfortunate how close that final score looks. Pretty dominating performance overall.

While, after having a 21 point lead, it would have been nice to be sure of the outcome before the half a minute mark - i'll definitely take it and enjoy it - especially on the road.

Great game! Good win for our guys! Hope we keep up the defense like we all saw in the 1st half! Go Gophers!

This is the biggest postive i have see this year!!! Attack dont sit back and try to hold on to leads try to win the game. U could not be more spot on we lost atleast 4 games last year doing exactly that.

A solid overall effort. Coleman really shined IMO. Welch finally got it together. Did not like the lack of effort on the defensive boards at the end of the game.

Check out Northwestern to see a very solid ball handling point guard in Sobolewski. The kid is very savvy and has a great shot.

Anyone watching the northwestern/maryland game? That is the most ugly/distracting floor in the history of basketball.....even worse the Boise St FB field.

Best game I've seen a Tubby coached Gopher's team play in a long time. I got worried at about the 3 minute mark when I saw the kids stand and watch the dribbler for about two possessions in a row, but this time the kids pulled themselves out of that tendency.

Best half-court execution of the year without a doubt. The kids took care of the rock and didn't make silly turnovers. Very impressive win and one that even I can feel very good about.

I heard from a reliable source close to the situation that the NU floor was designed by a native of Alexandria.

Parski is not from Alexandria.

Now if we can just get rid of that effing Viking Speedway......loud bastards.

This was a really impressive victory. I thought everyone played well outside of Mbakwe and Walker didn't really establish himself. I love that our offense is more quickly paced than in year's past and that we will actually take the break on occasion.

Dre is the first guy since Jackson that could carry a team and Austin reminds me of Quincy Lewis.

"Best half-court execution of the year without a doubt."

+1
