Beat me too it. Garcia was awesome but Patterson was clutch as well. 22 points on 8 of 13 shooting.

Johnson is still likely toast at the end of the season but the players clearly haven't quit on him and they are playing a little better overall. Feel great for the players/coaches to have a chance to celebrate during what has been a bummer of a season.
 







Somehow Michigan made a higher % of their FTs than the Gophers tonight. 70% to 69.2%. Would have bet anything we actually won that metric in this one.

There have been teams in the past that have used games like this to go on a winning streak of some sorts. Not saying this will happen at all, but theyve been playing better lately so there's a nonzero percent chance could happen
 





Curious - there have been a number of posters saying they don't even want the team to win because they are so down on Johnson. Did you manage to find a way to enjoy this at all or are you so negative about things that you are bummed the team actually has a reason to be happy for a change?

Although they have been playing better in general it is still highly unlikely they can come close to digging out of the hole they are in.

But nights like this are still awesome, even if they don't change the end result of the season.

Your mistake there is caring enough about them to ask that question.

They can still improve and write some highlights into this chapter. Regardless of what happens to coach Johnson, I think he deserves some credit for keeping the team together. They have not quit on him.
