The great news is that as bad as the Illinois defense is, the Purdue defense is worse.
Was it a blitz or did the o-line just let them through since it was a screen? I didn't pay that close of attention.
I'll say it again!Damn. J Nubin has good vision for seeing the hole.
Good question, but since the offense didn’t see the field, I would think so.Does that count as the opening drive since they fumbled the kickoff?
but it wasn’t. correct call, IMO.Dean Blandino never sees targeting.
What RBs are available today besides Nubin?...Think I saw Evans, but not sure
BAD CALLbut it wasn’t. correct call, IMO.
These announcers clearly don’t know PJ.There's the PJ we know and love.
1. setting up a FG attempt to ”ensure” points. That play call on 3rd and 9? Really?
Ya if he goes for this he might make it, but he shouldn't go for it.You kick the field goal here. Third and 9 you should have thrown. You didn’t gain enough in the run to go for this. Take the lead before the half.
I don't think 2 yards set this FG up much better than if we had passed.1. setting up a FG attempt to ”ensure” points.
2. Nubin was one tackle away from breaking a big run/ first down.
I’m disappointed, but not severely.
Ill totally selling out on the RB. Need to have AK pull the ball out and bootleg.
It was wide open for about 15 yards 3 to 4 plays ago.Ill totally selling out on the RB. Need to have AK pull the ball out and bootleg.
If it was 10 yards further back maybe. Moving it from a 42 yard FG to 36 does nothing.1. setting up a FG attempt to ”ensure” points.

It was 5, not? I’m OK with 3 there. Illinois hasn’t been sitting back and letting the Gophers pick them apart in prevent D on 3rd and longs today, unlike the Gophers.I don't think 2 yards set this FG up much better than if we had passed.
