Tough to watch the Tubby Smith Standing Offense at the end of the 2nd half. It was the main reason for Wisconsin getting back in the game. We make it far too easy for Wisconsin to play defense when we stand and look at each other and wonder who's supposed to do what. Lucky that Andre was fouled and we end the half with a tie score. Here's to hoping we start moving on offense in the 2nd half. We are a better team when we move the ball on offense.

Sorry, I meant we are a better team than the Badgers when we move the ball on offense. When we stop moving and making cuts we make the Badgers look like they are equal to us when they aren't.

Our half-court offense consists of an occasional pick and roll, but mostly one guy trying to dribble and get open on his own.

That's Tubby ball with the flex thrown in once in awhile just for kicks. Of course they simply run the basic flex with little variables added. I keep waiting for Tubby to hire an offensive guru to his coaching staff. Until then we get what we get.
 

Hate to say it but I don't think the Gophers are equipped mentally to win a grind it out, low-scoring game where every possession matters. I think the Badgers are going to pull away and win 57-44

The Gophers half court offense is putrid. Very little movement. Lots of standing around. Very easy to guard. Some basic screen across the lane like high school basketball would even be better than what they are doing. Is there a hockey game on to watch? Or maybe a sock drawer to sort? Wow, this is bad hoops!

It wasn't even that flashy, he makes that dunk like 99 out of 100 times, whether he's hot or cold from the field. Just an unfortunate miss.
 


If I had a nickel for every blown dunk this year...How cold Austin miss that?
 

This team is incredibly frustrating to watch. Also, like I said in a prior thread, it seems almost as if we are only elite when Rodney is playing at a high level. When he doesn't, it seems we struggle along with him. Also, did anyone think like Trevor was paralyzed for a second the way he was laying there? He plays with such a reckless abandon that it seems like he's always banged up in one way or another, or flying off the elevated floor at the Barn. He always plays 110%.
 



Mo Walker comes in and fails to get a rebound that lands right at his feet..then a foul...then I dont know what happened with that tied up ball...crazy and its all going Bucky's way...I smell a blow out.
