***OFFICIAL GOPHERS VS KENT STATE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Let's not forget to put some blame on Limey here - our O-Line full of Power 5 recruits is getting manhandled by yet another low-tier defense.

If this anemic offense continues, there has to be a change somewhere. i.e. players, coaches, coaches who make play calls...something. This is just brutal to watch.

Just like that 10-7, our offense leaves no room for error. We should be blowing Kent St out.

What's with all the penalties? Weren't we one of the least penalized teams last couple of years?

Also, I'm not surprised on the fumble. We have almost done it several times this game.

What really disappoints me is the lack of discipline on this team. That falls directly on Kill.

They're too prideful on having 180 years or something together to do that.

Well maybe I did over exaggerate that, and maybe you're right, but my point still remains that whatever worked in those leagues probably won't work here. I mean geeze, this is Limegrover's 5th year.

What Limegroverbis Doug schematically has nothing to do with Big Ten or lower levels. It's not that different than many run. It's primarily execution, and some play calling. However, the philosophy or scheme working at N Illinois, but then not in the Big Ten - no, that's not the issue.

the number of pundits picking MN to win the west should soon be dropping.

Things like that are why you can't have 25 minutes of absolutely putrid offense. Simply put, this offense is playing an awful football game.

You've got to have the players to run it. Adapt to your personnel.

Well this is the big 10. That MAC sh!t will only take you so far. Unless, this staff is happy with 8 win seasons, then it will work just fine. Welcome back to the Mason years.

IMO, Limegrover should be gone. Claeys is by far the best coach on this team.

Sure, you can't blame this one the L brothers but this proves one thing... we are very limited in the mistakes we can make because in a game that should be a blow out, we are now only up by three (which is Limegrover & Leidner's blame). This is scary....

Playing football like this we wouldn't win the MAC West. It is time to shake things up.

This. They're gonna do what they do, Win or lose. No matter what. No changing the gamelan, no adjustments. After 3 years at N Ill that had a better team, year 5 here.... Worst offense they've ever had. Most stale, dull, same 5 okays. And I will not stop saying, zero Jet Sweeps.

Were actually worse now than vs TCU, WHY?!?!

Kill won't fire limegrover, but play calling duties need to be shifted to someone else. Limegrover just sucks at play calling and makes it so much harder on our players than it needs to be, IMO.

Won't happen. We'll give the usual, "We're going to make changes," excuse (like this and last week), but nothing happens.

Has our defense turned the field over today? No scores, but nothing special. Freshmen RB leaving yds on the field, FR WR fumbles, and OL's been brutal. Leidner's been Leidner.

Remember when we use to change coordinators every year? That was great.

Maye is the only guy on offense I feel comfortable with when it's in his hands or going his way

Of course we keep running it straight up the middle. Give Rodney a chance and do something creative.

I am not saying change offensive coordinators, I am saying change the person who play calls during the game. Limey can run the offense during practice, but have someone else call the plays on game day.
