***OFFICIAL GOPHERS VS HAWKEYES FLOYD OF ROSEDALE IN-GAME THERAD!!***

Huge first half! Wish we would have tried to score again in those last 19 seconds, but really well-played first half (after Iowa's first drive) and well-coached as well. Good mix of running and passing (though still no screen passes *scratches head*). Not sure what this game would look like had Maxx not made that amazing catch, but there have been a bunch of really good plays made on both ends of the field today, fun to see.

Can't rest on this lead, I hope they bury Iowa early in the second half so we can enjoy the game with no nerves for once.

Come out and get some points on the first drive and break them.

Gophers have only scored 35 vs Iowa 7 times since 1937...this is the 8th.

The Gophers must continue scoring on every possession, and they will be fine.

In the 4th if all goes well, put Streveler & Berkley in.

I though Williams did a great job filling in for Damien at MLB. Always was in the right position and almost had the interception off the tip.

To think just an hour ago I would have been very pleased taking a 14 point lead into halftime.

Well that was a fun half. Iowa has 113 yards total, and just 37 after their first drive. Great job all around.

Leidner has played extremely well. That throw to Maye on 3rd down when he was rolling to his left was beautiful. This is why I disagree with those who say he isn't a D1 QB. His problem is consistency.

Any new details as to why Wilson didn't play early on? I noticed Cockran wasn't playing with the first line at times as well.

Let's keep it rolling, no reason to get too conservative. Statement game.

Agreed. Thought he did a really good job for a true freshman. Weisman overpowered him on their TD, but that's a tough task for any LBer on that play.

How do keep their intensity up? Remind them of 55-0?
Let's see a duplicate of the first half! 70-14!!

Yeah once weisman gets going downhill he is tough to stop. The d has done a great job getting him in the backfield before he gets going.

Also Richardson is absolutely destroying who ever is blocking him. I've seen him in the backfield 4 or 5 times already!

It's kind of amazing to me how Iowa hasn't adjusted at all to the Maye jet sweep. I'm sure they'll change something at halftime, but man, we were getting 8 yards a pop on that play consistently.

If the end score is 70-14 I will pee my pants from excitement.

Anyone have an estimate on the amount of Iowa fans there? It's hard to tell from TV but it doesn't look a lot to me.

Cobb looks like he has fresh legs. Nice burst to the outside and nice stiff arms.

A blind man wouldn't be able to tell you - they're quiet as church mice.

I was going to type "just keep pounding the ball," and I looked up to see another TD pass......

I love when they show Iowa fans sitting in the stands on TV looking like lost/sad puppies.

you really have to wonder what prompted this three dimensional running game all of the sudden. what do they see in iowa that they didn't see at Illinois. I wonder if it has to do with team speed on defense, KJ Mayes health, the offensive line's health, what is it? I want to know. Again, could it be a wrinkle they were saving for the most difficult part of their schedule? It's very, very intriguing to me. What about you guys?

Keep going. There's no ceiling on our point total today where I say, "Ok that's enough".

Taking advantage of young LBS.
