*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS-MICHIGAN GAME THREAD ***

Nelson hasn't been terrible... he can't get into a rhythm running draws all game...

Another call goes to Mich on anything questionable.

Mike Grimm may be the most annoying whiner on radio...crazy thing is he's even worse in during Gopher hoops...the program sounds weak when he is constantly complaining about officials

When is the last time this defense ever made a stop in the red zone on 3rd down?

another blown call, that was loose; at least warranted a review

Don't say that.... I got attacked by Dr. Don the expert, and westcoast for saying something similar to that.

Saying you think that Kill and his "merry band of men" will not get us to mediocrity and are over their heads in the B1G isn't in the same ballpark as "running between the tackles." You're either delusional or a terrible troll.

but Michigan just has better athletes than we do at this point.

At this point - and every year in the foreseeable future. That is not going to change. The only way you win if this is the case is to out coach them - like Northwestern is able to do periodically.

Next week is the most important game of the season. I dont expect Nebraska or MSU to be close.

Troy S. had 2 changes to make big plays on that drive and missed on 2. Knock the ball down on the long pass and don't wiff on that last attempt to tackle their Qb on 3rd and goal. He has to make those plays!

Nelson is so darn young, just like the whole team. Tough to win with so many young guys playing key positions. Michigan is a good team and like I said we just need to be patient I have done this before, we need to get older and when we aren't so young everyone will see that this is a full proof plan that will work. We just need to get older and deeper.

I wrote the post game comments, now you don't have to wait for the post game comments lol

Some of our strategic maneuvers will be criticized (and rightfully), but Michigan just has better athletes than we do at this point.
Minnesota is developing and I agree...Mich has better athletes and the game decisions and breaks are going their way. Just the way it is today.

It's not just the complaining since Michigan is making plays but anything questionable goes to a helmet school. Even if it's another bottom half team playing the helmet school will not get the questionable call. In my opinion the Big Ten elite tell the officials to do this. I've seen it to many times and that is what is frustrating.

Nelson isn't playing bad, he's playing like a true freshman. He'll probably end up being one of the best, if not the best QB in gophers history... if the coaches actually open up the offense. I seriously don't see why we burned his redshirt if the coaches are just going to call these types of games... Grey would have been just fine as the starting QB with this play calling.

OK...it is time for two minute drill the rest of the game and Gopher Win 35 to 29.

It's funny, cause that's not even the part I meant. I meant the part about how Coke was running circles around Kill. So clever. kthanxbye.

They do need to throw more.

The players played fine today. Coaches lost this game with their offensive play calling. The only success we've had in offense is when we've mixed it up. Running up the middle 9 out of 10 plays all game, and getting stopped with 1-yard gains, isn't going to result in a win. There haven't been many seams all day. Why does MN persist in thinking that there will be one on the next play?

Likely true, and I'm not going to play the young card. We are going to need to upgrade our athletes, play smart, and resist the urge to resort to plays etched in the playground sand.

When it is 3rd and 10 hard to fool anyone...offensive coordinator is beyond awful

It hasn't been 3rd and long every time.

To say it's not the players fault or say it's not the coaches fault is ridiculous. Both haven't played/coached well today.

punt now? or maybe a fake punt? they'd never see it coming. we could have eldred through it straight down the line of scrimmage to lineman on the short side of the field and hope he can run 20 yards after it.
